We were supposed to eat here because we wanna try this out but our attention was called upon. Why? Because we brought our dog. I don't get why dogs are not allowed when the place isn't even air-conditioned. Concho's is not pet-friendly yet it's not even a fine dining restaurant 😂EDIT as of APRIL 2016:Finally had the chance to eat here because we didn't bring our dog this time. My observations:1. When we entered, there are only 1 or 2 tables occupied though there are plenty (of tables). And I briefly wondered if it is because of their unsatisfactory rating on website which is 2.1 as of April 2016.2. I had to ask the waiter if he could turn on the lights where we were seated cos it's dark. (We sat at the tables outside/near the veranda so we could see our car.) 3. Serving size is not worthy of the price. Maybe they could decrease it by 20-30 pesos.4. I ordered boneless bangus (cos I'm a bangus girl, LOL) and for me the taste is okay but for my sister who knows how to cook, she said medyo maalat yung bangus.5. They ordered beef tapa. Serving size is, again, not worthy of the price. Their beef tapa costs I think 160-180 while their bangus costs 190php.6. My mom ordered tortilla wrap and a little while later the waiter told us "he is cancelling it" because it is not available. So my mom ordered baked herb potatoes instead and again, "he is cancelling it" because baked potatoes couldn't be served anymore. Why? I do not know, or maybe I didn't understand what he said to my mom. I think he could say it in a nicer way like "ma'am, just to inform you, yung tortilla wrap/baked potatoes ay hindi na available." Hindi yung "ma'am ika-cancel ko na po yung..."7. My mom also ordered fish and chips. I also like to order to but I had second thoughts that it might taste too fishy but to my suprise, it's not. Fish and chips is okay. 8. THEIR SISIG IS NOT GOOD, according to my sister, her bf, and my grandma. Also according to them, Sisig Hooray is much better than Concho's sisig. PS. I didn't try their sisig because I rarely eat sisig cos all I see is fats, calories, etc.

The fam went on another impromptu website adventure in Lilac Street today. The signage for Concho's Home of Sisig Goodness caught my attention. Apparently, it is owned by Calla Lily's Kean Cipriano. The place had an open-air veranda layout and (I'm sure the ladies will appreciate this) the tables have bag hooks for their purses. The decor is a bit western, with red boxes of colorful miniature horses mounted on the walls. We ordered a supersized sisig and a beef tapa plate. The sisig was a bit of a disappointment: I would have liked it better if it was served sizzling and had a little more crunch to it. The beef tapa, on the other hand, was really tender and was served with fried garlic flakes, rice and broth. The staff is polite if a bit distracted (when I asked the waiter which of the rice meals are the best sellers, he referred me to their sisigs, and it took me several tries to ask for utensils and the bill). All in all, the total dining experience was ok but nothing to write home about.Update: Something to write home about. Got indigestion immediately after dining here. Definitely not going here again.

Expand the place so you can accommodate more customers. We waited for almost 20-30 minutes. The food is good. Thumbs up for the crew, great service. 😊👍

My workmates and I decided to have lunch out today and we all decided to try Concho's. The place may be small but the food is great. We all decided to order the Sisig Super meal. It consisted of rice, sisig (of course), a perfectly cooked egg, tangy spicy vinegar, ice tea and dessert of the day. We wanted to get 2 orders of dynamite. Unfortunately the waiter told us that what's left in the kitchen is good for one order only. Suprisingly, we got really big dynamites and yes they were that good. I also loved the mango sago dessert. All in all my food experience is awesome. Will be bringing my other friends from Batangas should we find ourselves having a porky craving again.

Food is overrated, it was not even the best sisig in town. but it is really pricey and overrated. Really disappointed that their sisig super meal with dessert of the day featured has no dessert at all but no change on price has been made. It also took sometime before their waiters assisted us on our bill.

We ate at Concho's Today. The food is medyo good but their service is not. I like their Beef Salpicao ❤ and the sauce of Calamares 😁.- Lutang yung nagseserve. Nakalimutan iserve yung sisig at no rice available pa for my dad.. 10 mins pa daw. bitin! Palpak yung order namin. :(

Good food GREAT customer service.Went back to Marikina to visit our grandparents, we had dinner here. Sisig was all muscle (laman) and it didn't real taste like sisig. Their chicken was great

Your definition of kaunti is kakarampot. Damihan nyo sana yung serving ng sisig. Yung pang 3-5 person nyo na sisig hindi sulit sa sa P400

Sisig is okay and husband was satisfied by their fiesta plate. (He's a big eater so that is something)What really caught my attention was their boneless bangus belly meal and their dynamite. I don't really like bangus belly but I ate everything in this particular meal! Also love their dynamite and honey mustard dip. Wish they have a wider selection of beers.

Sisig is a well-known Filipino dish made with pork jowl.  Pampanga is responsible for it popularity.  This is a staple in every Filipino gatherings,  commonly consumed as bar chow. There is one point in a foodies lift  that you have an insatiable craving for a particular food.  I was hit by the sisig bug a couple pf months back. I spent my weekends in Marikina and Concho's caught my eye.  We decided to have late lunch here. Situated along Lilac Street,  one has to lopl up to spot Concho's.  They occupy the second floor of a stucture that houses a couple of restaurants.   Don't expect fancy interiors nor ventilation.  This is a typical hole-in-the-wall joint,  wooden chairs and tables and al fresco dining.  The menu is straightforward - familiar Filipino Dishes. We ordered the following: | Classic Sisig.  I am accustomed to the crispy variant hence i find their a lil odd.  Eating sisig aint complete without the crunch.  It felt like i am eating ground meat masquerading as sisig.| Dynamite.   This saved the day.  Green chili filled with gound beef and fried to perfection.   The beef is flavorful and juicy.   I would've preffered a morr heat buy you can always ask for extra chili if you breathe fire like me.Skip Concho's if you're looking for tasty sisig.   The dynamite is worth a try though.
