Last week we had dinner at comedor. This is not our first time at the place however we tried other food at the menu. I can say that I love their kare kare because you can tell that they prepare it in traditional way. It is also suprising that the gising gising and the bulalo is tasty. The cream cheese leche flan is a great way to end the dinner. Over all if you love filipino food and wanted to try other than Max and Gerry's Grill, try Comedor.

I would've rated Comedor 3.5 but there's no .5 rating anymore.Dined here last Dec 30. Waited 15mins before we were seated though there are several tables available. We ordered Crispy Lechon Salad, Crispy Pork Belly, Classic Kare Kare and Oyster-Mari Sisig. Both the Crispy Pork Belly and Lechon Salad are ok.Not a fan of their Kare Kare and Sisig though. They were quite generous with the breading in their Oyster-Mari Sisig. Also, all you can taste is soy sauce. On the other hand, the Bagoong for the Kare Kare is bland, making the dish boring.

Went here to try this for the 1st time. Around past 12 30pm so it's lunch time. Many people but it's normal. Ordered Sizzling Bulalo. Didn't like it at all. Maganit yung bulalo not like the other ones I tried. The creamy sauce is okay. Pricey for how it was done and served. P600. Not worth it at all. Also tried the Adobo sa Puti and it was just okay. Nothing special. Also like to comment that when other people left, the servers arranged the tables. One server dragged the table which caused so much noise. Not mindful at all for customers who are left dining and trying to enjoy their lunch. Just not a good experience. There are still other options to try. Just not try to order those two above.

Dislikes:1) Asked one of the staff if the “tapa” was sweet (because I wanted salty/savory tapa) and he said no. Then I got my order and it was sweet. He could have asked a more knowledgeable staff if he didn’t know and not just randomly answered.2) My brother’s order took forever to come, and it was only an order of bacon and waffles. They said they burned the first batch, but even if they did, I don’t think it should take that long. When the order came, I had some of the bacon and couldn’t taste anything, except the oil that was dripping from it which was disgusting. I don’t know what kind of bacon that was, but bacon served in our office canteen probably tasted better than that.I loved that they are open at around 7 am and that they serve breakfast, but if their breakfast is mediocre given the price, then I would happily look some place else where the breakfast tastes better and cooked properly. They need to improve the quality/taste of the meal if they want to survive. Lots of competition now in the Marikina area, so I really suggest they up their game.

The BBQ Ribs was tender and sweet. The Kesong Puti Salad was nothing special and hadvso much dressing. It was like an ordinary Chef's Salad with 3 cubes of cottage cheese. Friendly and fast service though. Overall, the experience was fine.

We tried the unli breakfast. Takes 15-20 minutes before the next set of order (just for an egg, pandesal, longganisa) which should’ve been pre-prepared prior to service. Coffee was served without sugar and creamer, and by the time it was given, the coffee was alread cold (as in the powdered creamer did not dissolve). There were only 2 waiters both for inside and outside tables. I mean, if you have an unli breakfast service, other meats/viands should’ve been pre-cooked prior to service, and that the cook should only be cooking the egg instead to save time. Their goat cheese isn’t goat cheese, it’s more of a fake spready type mayonnaise kind. I don’t know ah, but this isn’t how you run a restaurant. One more thing, ang daming lamok at langaw. Yikes!

Almost at the dead-end side of Mayor Gil Fernando Ave. is where you will find this “feel at home” Filipino restaurant. Parking space is ample, up to 10 cars. At 6:30pm, we were comfortably parked and seated. The look is Filipino Modern, with native-style windows and paintings. The establishment is well lit, well decorated and well ventilated. The staff were friendly and ready to assist you in your orders. We ordered the ff:Chicharon Bulaklak and Crispy Isaw - P180 - very good for appetizers! At first, me and my husband thought that the serving was small for us, but then we still have the plate before dessert time! The vinegar dip was also good.Pork Molo Soup - This soup reminded me of my Father’s homemade molo soup. It was delicious.Szechuan Shrimps - P370 - too saucy for me. Probably after they sauté the shrimps, they should drain or remove the excess sauce.Sizzling Bulalo - P600 - Beef shanks in creamy bulalo sauce. REALLY CREAMY SAUCE. The serving looks small, but actually the plate is just big. I just wished it should have more vegetables, and that the vegetables will be placed after the beef shanks were drenched in cream sauce. The vegetables drowned and unnoticeable.Cream Cheese Flan - P90 - SOOOOOO SOOOOO GOOOOOD, I can eat this all day.Buko Lychee Sherbet - P80 - I didn’t taste the lychee that much. More of ice and macapuno.Comedor’s Palitaw - P90 - classic palitaw. no story to tell.Don’t be fooled, their food serves up to 3 people. Will come back here and will recommend this to family and friends! :)

First time to eat here birthday pa naman ng mother ko. I never rate a resto pero eto kasi dinayo pa namin from fairview so for others try to order anything other than these. Sobrang dissappointed lang talaga ko. Di lang siguro good choice yung na order namin. Kare kare don't even have a single meat on it puro tuwalya na 3 inches ×1 inches ang laki kapal nasa malaking bowl na puno ng puso ng saging dissappointing talaga. =( not worth it for the price. Don't ever order the lumpiang sariwa. Mukhang frozen veggies pa yata yung ginamit ang lamig talaga tapos super kapal ng ginamit na wrap. Lechon belly (similar to lechon macao) super thin slices not worth the price good for 1 person lang. Crispy pata not worth the price din kasi ang liit good for 1-2 lang unlike gerry's grill, max, etc. Rating the resto 2 for the ambiance and parking although yung long table nila masikip yung moving space. Feeling after eating here: nabusog ka pero hindi ka satisfied sa kinain mo. Dont order halo halo.

Super good filipino food and big servings for the price/quality/content! nice homey and laid back ambiance reminiscent of family days and lola’s cookings.
