Good food, good vibes :) loved the spinach and cheese cannelloni and the bread basket. Will order the ribs and try the other entrees next time. Definitely worth another visit.

Enjoyed the spinach and cheese cannelloni which was freshly made and had just the right amount of filling and side of tomato sauce to cut through the richness of the cheese. The grilled cheese sandwich is different from the usual as it's served with bechamel which makes it extra creamy and works well with the emmental and cheddar cheeses used. The sourdough bread likewise adds just enough contrast although it could have been grilled/toasted more to add a textural crunch. The side of tomato-basil soup is good but is really just a side. I think they should consider offering the option to have it upsized to a cup or bowl so one could enjoy it more.Lastly, the Apple strudel was nice and flakey with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream perfectly paired to have that hot-cold combo play to end the meal. Will definitely come back to try their other dishes!

At last! Someone took advantage of the beauty of Marikina's old houses. This one definitely scores a 5 in the homey ambiance. Food is great although a bit on the pricey side. Service is prompt and staff are attentive. Will recommend to friends in the east area.On another note, I wish the salmon, for its price @ 410php, could've been cooked perfectly. It was a bit dry and lacking in taste. Good thing the melted butter on the side kinda saved it.

I ordered their create-your-own pasta and had pasta aligue sauce with spaghetti topped with cream dory in leek sauce. The description got me so excited and I'm glad it didn't fail my expectations when they served it. The pasta was cooked al-dente! Aligue sauce was the best I've had in a while. The taste is there, it's not too strong, and it complimented the baked cream dory. The carrots and fried potato strips balanced it out by adding crunch to it. Overall I was very satisfied with my food.

There are a lot of gems to try in their menu. This italian-american fusion restaurant is worth coming back to. I felt like having some comfort food so I tried their Grilled Cheese. It is a warm, creamy and tasty concoction that goes well with its side of tomato soup. It really satisfied my comfort food cravings. My friend tried the spinach and cheese canelloni, which was made fresh. Another great menu item. My other friend tried the Italian ribs. It was sweet but it had also other spices to add a flavorful kick! I was very satisfied by all their food! Great restaurant for a relaxing meal. Nice venue and good service. Our orders arrived promptly!

I'm such a big fan of neighborhood restaurants and converted-home-restaurant types, so Casano was a jackpot for me! It's still new because they only started operations May of this year so I suggest, catch them before anyone else does! The likeability of the ambiance depends mainly on their facade, you wouldn't even know it's a restaurant without the sign. It's a house built with wooden floors and window panes that remind you of the houses you see around Vigan or the ancestral house your mom and dad grew up in. The white curtains are graciously blown by the wind and the there's a turntable (with matching vinyl records of both old and new artists) that plays comfy tunes. The walls are filled with pops of artwork-- pieces made by the co-owner and a tinge of DIY "Casano" mural. The best dishes for me are:Smoked Ham Croquettes- For a hundred pesos, this is definitely a bang for your buck. I can eat this all day every day because it's perfectly crisp on the outside and perfectly savory and creamy on the inside. One of the best croquettes I tried was from an Australian organic cafe in Eastwood, and it was triple the price. So this is definitely my go-to croquette place from now on. Spinach and Cheese Cannelloni - I was actually torn between this or the Arabiatta, but I figured, quality Cannelloni is such a rare find in this area so I'd give this spot to Cannelloni instead. First of, I love spinach, so the ingredient itself made me drool. Second, I love cheese. Naturally, this dish was a total win for me. It was just so creamy and tasty, it'll definitely make it to your "crave" list as you will constantly think of it a few days after consumption. I will go back for this pasta dish. Herb-crusted Salmon- This main entree is the most expensive from the bunch, but can you guess how much it is? 350 Php. Can you believe 350 is their most expensive dish?! Add even more plus points to Casano because for their main entrees, you can choose either fries, mash, or rice for your starch. The one we tried was Salmon and mash. It was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and the serving size was big for its price. I mean, what more can you ask for? The other dishes were commendable as well, but I chose these three because they deserve a standing ovation in my book. I have yet to try their signature Rigatoni Tower (so please wait for my updated review on that! ) and more pasta dishes because you can create your own pasta here--choose the pasta, sauce, and topping ( you can also request it to be extra spicy or extra garlicky if you like) for a fail-proof dish. Desserts are good to try as well, and for palette cleanser between meals, order their cucumber lemonade! *edited photos on my blog*

The food tastes great! My all time favorite is their Herb Crusted Salmon with Lemon Butter and Capers sauce. Best salmon i've had so far. :) I love their warm and cozy ambiance plus their unique vinyl player! Definitely coming back :)

Hello Sweeties!I consider Marikina as my second city. I just love shopping and dining in the area. It is no surprise that there are these beautiful ancestral houses converted into restaurants. At J.P. Rizal Street of San Roque close to Kaptan Moy and the 15 Hundred year old Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned Church, Casaño Italian Fusion stands relatively new to the area barely 4 months. A lot of people mistake Casano for a classic Filipino restaurant, maybe because of the classic 50s home ambiance that reminds me of my grandparents house in Malolos.Wooden floors, antique wooden window panes you see in the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite or Vigan. The windows are open most days and look very clean with the white gossamer curtains billowing as cool air blows through. The sight out of an old Sampaguita Pictures Movies, all very romantic. They also have a old school turn table that actually works, it plays old and new vinyl records the owners favor the modern mp3s and disc of the modern age.I was fortunate enough to be invited Casaño`s food tasting by Zomatoph. The ham is wrapped in cold béchamel and then deep fried to golden perfection. They actually serve it in spoons like these. It was a surprise for me to find out that this product does not have any cheese in it since it is so tasty. They recommend that you consume this dish whole from the spoon to get the full experience.Baked pasta Cannelloni filled with Spinach and Cheese. What can I say? Heaven in each bite! Coz you got me when you said it was cheese. (lol). I like that it is not too creamy and that the baguette is large enough to finish off all the sauce that was left in the plate after I was through with it. Nice filling vegetarian lovers dish.We also got to try out their create your own pasta option.Create your Own Pasta samples: Each plate with your choice of Pasta, Topping and Sauce priced at 210php per plate. This I think is an excellent way to have variety in your pasta meal. For my beasties Italian dishes are their comfort food. I am glad somewhere nearby lets you DIY your own meal.I love that it is seasoned so well. The shrimp is a great addition as topping and it is not oily. This is one of my favorites.I enjoyed this pasta dish, The chicken was crispy but not dry. We were told that you could also adjust the spice level of all the pastas. I would like to try this dish with the spice leveled up slightly.Main EntreeCasano main entrees comes with a side salad and your choice of starch (rice, mash potatoes or fries)I am not a salmon fan, I feel that there is a slight “lansa” after taste. But I loved Casano`s Herb-Crusted Salmon, the salmon was fresh and moist and no aftertaste, the mash potatoes are actual potatoes not the powdered kind. You can have the Salmon dish with rice or fries but I think when you have it with the potatoes you will not have it with anything else.Check out a detailed review on my blog
