The day I learnt that Baliwag has a sit-down restaurant is also my first day to attend a foodcrawl organized by website. I braved the idea of knowing random strangers that turned to be my fellow foodies who share the love for food! Baliwag was the first restaurant we visited and I was vert happy because they embody the true Filipino restaurant which caters some of our local favorites. I enjoyed every single dish they served! 😋🍴

Baliwag should borrow website's tag line, because I've never ever had a bad meal here. Caldereta, liempo, papaitan, lechon manok, pakbet, Kare kare, sinigang, ooohhh my. Everything is just so good, Baliwag you are a diet ruiner. 😂

I was so puzzled when I found out that Baliwag was our first stop for our Marikina food crawl sponsored by website and ABS-CBN. I even considered skipping this stop and just head straight to the second one. But I was glad that I decided to join from start to finish as Baliwag delightfully surprised me with its dishes.Hello, Baliwag. We visited one of Baliwag’s sit down dining branches and we were surprised with the number of dishes offered by the brand only known for its roasted chicken. Aside from Baliwag’s famous poultry dish, we also got to try its kare-kare, pancit bihon, lechon kawali and pork sisig. It took roughly 40 minutes before the dishes were served and some of us were already hangry when we had our first mouthful. Pork sisig and pancit bihon were my favorite dishes among the bunch! The pork sisig was flavorful and oh so crunchy. Drizzling it with calamansi juice made it even better! The same is true with the pancit bihon which was topped with crunchy pork bits and chopped vegetables! TLDR: Good food, value for money, service is too slow.More details about my Baliwag experience on my blog soon. :)

First stop on the #ZomatoxABSCBN #HungerGames food crawl. Baliwag's "thing" is the grilled chicken (Lechon Manok) and Liempo. If it's your first time, start there. Both their chicken and liempo were tasty and well-marinated. They were seasoned to perfection and the lovely charred bits added an amazing depth of flavour. The fact that the whole chicken only costs Php285 is enough reason to go get some! I'd also recommend getting the pork sisig and pancit bihon. If you've already tried the chicken, explore the rest of the menu. If you're stopping by for a meal for yourself, consider the Pork BBQ, Kare-Kare, and Chicken BBQ Rice meals. What I appreciate about this place is that they give you generous portions at a great price.
