I've been going to this place ever since I was a kid, and I never get tired of it. My faves are the sipa, stuffed squid and buttered chicken. The food is seasoned really well, and is served piping hot. The interiors of the place remind me of home, and of my lolo, since this was his fave resto. Will always keep coming back here.

This is a great, no-fuss Chinese restaurant that's way worth the money you spend here. My mom brought us here since she used to go here a lot with my dad when they were in residency training. 🤗The place is pretty simple, which is probably one of the things people like. There's no air conditioner and it's almost a carinderia-style place. It's probably that kind of ambiance that keeps them going back that's why this restaurant still stands. We ordered the stuffed squid, the scallops in chili sauce, yang chow fried rice and their famous 'sipa' dumplings. I have to say I am very impressed with the flavors. My favorites were definitely the sipa and the stuffed squid. The sipa already looks so adorable and they do not skimp on the meat inside. ❤️ the stuffed squid has this nice, sweet, but savory flavor. I can't really describe it too much but it was heavenly on the palate. 😍

We've been hearing that Wok Inn is a must-try place in Malate area, so we decided to find it out ourselves. Upon entering the place, we caught this casual vibe that makes the restaurant non-intimidating at all. However, there's not much that you'll enjoy with the interior. You will then be toured to the ingredients section, where you can pick out things that you find interesting together with the style of cooking you want them to apply. Now, most of the dishes we had tasted great (well except for the pansit which was rather plain). My experience here in Wok Inn was enjoyable, but it may be insufficient to make me crave for it again.

Upon entering the restaurant, the whole place, as we initially saw from the outside, was packed with families, groups of friends, and different sorts of folks enjoying their lunch. The staff welcomed us and instructed us to place our orders first since there were still no seats available when we arrived. We headed to the cashier section to ask for the menu and the staff told us that they don't have one and directed us to the far end of the restaurant where there is a display of food.Their Sipa is my favorite! Wrapped in wanton wrapper and deep-fried, these babies with sweet and salty ground meat filling, turnips, carrots, and a distinct Chinese flavor were just awesome. I am not sure what else is inside, the consistency of the filling was kind of slimy, but this dish is a must try! Mark and I both loved it! It also comes with a dip, which I think is a combination of soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar, which made the Sipa more delectable. Wok Inn is just a simple restaurant without any grand furniture and fixtures. But the place is well-lit, clean, and air-conditioned. They kept their business simple, not being swayed by the technological advancements and the modern world, and was still able to keep up with the competition. Their superb service and affordable and good food are what I think really kept the business alive and kept the people coming back. :)

My family and I have been a fan of Wok Inn ever since, but this branch is very disappointing. Seriously, every dish we ordered (camaron, spare ribs, mixed vegetables) has no taste at all except for the beef broccoli. If they can't change or improve their dish, change their name. Stop wasting the money of the customers with pricey dish that has disapppointing taste.

After the panliligaw moves (food delivery to the barrister) of my best friend, he decided he was hungry. (This, after acing hacking Cibo's Penne Al Telefono zzz he made a better version of it actually.) We were strolling around Malate & decided to eat at an old time favorite place. Being the chef, he ordered Wok Inn's best seller Sipa. A fried dumpling with an almost asado-ey minced meat filling that will remind you why you have to hit the gym the next day cause you inhaled the dumplings as soon as it was served. Buttered chicken, pro tip: STAR MARGARINE IS GOOD FOR YOU. Lol jk, k. Sarap. But wait, there's more! We had Fish & Tofu in Tausi Sauce, Chopsuey, and Yang Chow. Judging by how we all acted when the food's almost finished (how we would secretly spoon leftover sauce on our rice or pagsisisimot ng kutsara) it felt like we have not eaten for days, ganun kasarap! Our orders came in fast enough too! Observant Servers, they'd fill your water glass if it's half empty already. Although downside, ofcourse, Wok Inn c'mon take it easy on the betsin. When we walked out of the place, we were kite-high. We were so sleepy but I don't know if it's because of our gluttony or the fact that we may or may not have eaten like 5-7 sachets of tagpipisong MSG from the sarisari store. If you're ready to eat cheap GOOD FOOD go to Wok Inn so you could Wok out high & satisfied. See what I did there? Lol ok sorry.

Service: Quick. Polite. They don't really have a menu. They have a kitchen. Where you point at things and ask what they can cook using those raw ingredients.Haha. Or, kung kabisado mo na, just order. Their salt and pepper spare ribs are good (minsan medyo hindi ganun katender). Stuffed tofu is akso good. Broccoli in garlic. But what we really go here for, aside from those above, is the Sipa. Fried dumpling na korteng pang-game of sipa. (Personally, what I go here for is just the sipa sauce. Yung sawsawan. Iniinom ko sya. Bad, yes, pero ganun sya kasarap. Just the right amount of saltiness-sweetness-spiciness. Pati yung chili garlic sauce nila. Inuulam ko naman yun. -- Noggy)Again, problem here is the parking. But there is a kuya across the road that will allow you to park on the road, tas babantayan nya. We've been here dozens (baka more) of times and, so far, okay naman :) And you can tip him any amount you like :)

Indeed you can find the best eats in Malate because of this place. I grew up going to church in Our Lady of Remedies, after mass we'll just cross the street to have dinner here. The staff will treat you like you're family just like how they remained like family to the owner. The people I saw when I was little are still the people serving at present.

I love the food here, especialy the sipa. We have been eating here since (i think) 1992, still the same taste and very affordable. Will definitely come back for more.

I have always liked the food here. I remember craving for their Pata Tim for an entire year. I always arrived late, with their doors all shut closed already. Apart from the pata tim, the stuffed squid and the spare ribs were also good. Most of the staff have been here for years, and they're all really nice. The place isn't that clean, though.
