Vatel Restaurant Manila has a superb sunset view of the Manila Bay. Located at the 12th floor of the Hotel Benilde of DLS-CSB's School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management.Best dishes to order are the Beef Bourguignon and the favorite of most people the Cerveza Negra Ice Cream. The beef bourguignon is USDA Beef Brisket simmered slowly in Red Wine sauce. The ambience is casual/fine dining and the student interns from the DLS-CSB are there to make sure you have a wonderful dining experience. They sometimes have some prix fixe or set menus that are very reasonably priced@

We tried eating the set meal offered by Vatel. No doubt the food is great. Definitely reasonably priced, good location, great aesthetics. Keep it up on your food and service quality!

Worked here for a while, so there might be a little bias in this review.Students in La Salle get a discount on the set-menus, from a decent price -it even gets cheaper. The cerveza negra ice cream and ginger-infused lava cake are a must-try dessert.Things to improve: Don't let the menu stagnate -it's been quite some time since you added something great on the menu

My friend invited me and my other friend to have a lunch since she's doing like a practicum there. I ordered the 3 course meal, I chose White Bean soup with Chorizo, Beef Bourguignon and their new dessert it's like a chiffon cake with mango (I forgot the name). The soup is good, kinda cold already but it's fine. Beef Bourguignon was amazing! It's very tender and I love the flavor, and the potato thingy square I forgot the name was pretty good too. And the dessert was great, I really enjoyed it. I love it with the raspberry syrup. The service was amazing, the ambiance was pretty chill. I gave it a 4 since I find the price a little bit overpriced. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but I know places that offers the same kind of menus for a little bit cheaper price. It's 650 if you're a regular student, 450 if you're a student or you dined with a student. Sadly, my friend is on duty that day so she can't join us.

Service- 5Food- 5Ambience- 5Value for money- 5Very friendly staff and the ambience is relaxing. The set menu is affordable (P495) if you consider the excellent food. Beef bourguignon and short ribs have soft, tender meet with an excellent partner of potato gratin. Top it with a dessert of blueberry crème brûlée and it's just perfect. Ive gotten sick of blueberry cheesecake so the crème brûlée is a good twist. The only thing keeping them from a perfect score is that not a lot of the food from the menu are available. Good thing, the things available are delicious enough!

I'm a student in DLSU. If my allowance permits and if I have a 3-4 hour free break, I would always consider eating in those beautiful roof deck restaurant. It's a 5 minute walk from campus so i dont really mind. The food was amazing and the servers were friendly and know what they're doing. Also, if you go there with not a lot of people, they would pay attention to what music you like and would play it while you're there. For example, I noticed they were playing piano versions of Disney songs. They heard that I loved it so the just continued playing it. It's best to go there at night for a better view! 500 pesos for soup, entree and dessert 50 pesos for mocktails

I love this place not only because I'm an alumna but because vatel serves one of the best french Mediterranean cuisine out there for a reasonable price. Try their chicken ciabatta, diavolo baby back ribs, salmon cheese burger and beef bourginion. And for dessert, Black beer ice cream.

When my friend and I entered the restaurant, we weren't entertained by a receptionist on point, nonetheless, their ambiance, food and service were exceptional. The ambiance was very zen. It wasn't like those stressy fine-dining restos where the servers whiz to and fro and you can't enjoy your food slowly. We actually didn't feel the time pass by. We came there at 1pm and got out by 4:30pm. We instantly knew we had a good time. The prices are a bit overwhelming when you scan the menu, but when the servings came, it was almost good for 2 persons. I felt my money's worth in my stomach ;)

Vatel is a fine dining restaurant located at the roof deck of the Hotel Benilde Malate, Manila. It offers French Mediterranean cuisines that are scrumptiously enough in a very reasonable price.Best dishes would be the Beef Bourguignon, Braised Diavolo Baby Pork Ribs and their Cerveza Negra/Black Beer Ice Cream with pistachios that I love the most.
