I've never tried Tao Yuan before, so my cousin decided to treat me out to lunch. It wasn't my go-to Chinese restaurant in Lucky Chinatown Mall. But it's worth to try. What I noticed its a bit pricey as compared to the other restaurants in Binondo but as you can see in the picture, its really quality food. Assorted Cold Cuts Combination (Php 338)The cold cut was good, but I'm not really a fan of the presentation. I like it served that the cold cuts are separated to the sauce won't mix with each other. Braised Bean Curd with Dried Scallop (Php 338)This one I love, I weirdly like dishes cooked with tofu so this one was good, a little bit oily since its deep fried.  Sea MantisI never knew was Sea Mantis was it depends on how much it is per gram. So my cousin ordered it Salt and Pepper style. It was really really good, its in between fa flat lobster and shrimp. Something I want to try againSo far it was a good experience for me, I also read that they serve Singaporean Dishes as well. Might want to try that also!

Because of a certain restaurant that is fully booked when we arrived, we transferred to Tao Yuan instead. I think I have been to all branches so there is really something good to look forward to in every visit. My usual favorites are the Curry Fish Balls, Singaporean Cold Cuts Platter, and the Pan-fried Egg Whites with Scallops, but today I ordered just the curry fish balls because we were still quite full. The Curry Fish Balls is served in a bowl filled with yummy fish balls and soft tofu, swimming in a pool of curry. The curry is fragrant because of the lemongrass. The fishballs has a nice texture and the tofu is delicious as it absorb the curry sauce. Great with rice.Aside from that, we tried something new with Fish Belly and Celery, and since Suahe is cheap and abundant this season, we ordered it as well. The suahe served are fresh and big, flavor is sweet and fun to eat. Adults and kids alike are grabbing those shrimps like hotcakes. The fish belly is served with some clear soup. The soup is flavorful because of the seafood flavors. The dish is basically seafood in a cup. Aside from the tender fish belly, there were shrimps, scallops and other vegetables.Tao Yuan is actually known for their great Chinese and Singaporean dishes, and also dimsum. Though we weren't able to avail their dimsum promo, we tried several new dishes as well. The scallops and celery dumpling was ok, the scallops being a little overcooked. The shrimp rice roll is perfect. Siomai and Hakaw are also best-sellers.Don't forget to ask for free dessert - almond jelly with fruits!A good place to dine, not as cheap as other restaurants in the area, but quality is there.

Just got back from Hong Kong the other day, and today I was craving for Chinese food so we dropped by Tao Yuan! From 2:00 PM to 5:00PM, they have a 50% off promo on their dimsum, which we were able to avail as we got there at around 3PM. We ordered siomai, asado rice roll, birthday misua, egg tart and lo mai gai.I liked their siomai, especially dipped in chili with a mix of soy sauce. I kinda wish that there's an option to have an all-pork siomai as the siomai they offer has shrimp included in the mix. It was my first time to order asado rice roll, and as silly as it sounds, I thought it would look like sushi (as in asado heaped on top of rice), so I was surprised when it was served on our table. It was okay, although for me the texture did seem to be a bit weird. I didn't like how soggy the roll was. The primary reason I was adamant to eat@ here was because of their birthday misua. We ordered from here for my birthday, but instead of birthday misua, we had birthday noodles then so today I got to right some wrongs (lmao). I love their birthday misua, and I'd be happy to have it every day if possible, haha. I didn't like their egg tart though, as it tasted quite bland to me. I do like how flaky the tart is, but other than that, it was meh. I didn't get to try the lo mai gai, but my mom did seem to like it.The place is big and service is efficient. It's one of the restaurants in LCM that we go to when we're craving for Chinese food.

My first time to try their dimsum during their promo hours (50% off) from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. I find their dimsum menu more special/ unique than other restaurants have to offer. We ordered taro puffs, egg tart, barbeque pork pie, scallop with celery and ham soy kok.

We got to try their 50% discount promo on dimsum from 2 pm to 5 pm and I am glad that we took the opportunity to eat here after we found out that our first choice due to water leak. Anyway, we had hakaw, spare ribs, siomai, radish cake, hainanese chicken, and taro puff. All were great except that we did not really like the taste of the radish cake. They did not skimp on the ingredients.Service was also generally good though some dim sum orders were a little late. We had to follow up on the orders twice or thrice. Overall, I think it was a good experience. I just hope that the management improves the cleanliness of the place.

We ate here around 2pm so they have like a dimsum promo. I would say their foods are really good, foods not in promo are quite pricey but very delicious.Service was good. Place was clean.

The food is good, and the ambiance is nice but the service we received was horrible. One dish was wrong (allergic to shrimp so we have to really be careful), and when we talked to the asst. manager( I think his name is Manny), mind you my grandmother and I pointed to the same dish in the menu, he accused my grandmother of lying (I think I was more apalled by his completely rude and disrespectful behavior) he said " I'm honest so I don't know about you. Are you telling me I'm lying??" to my grandmother. After that, he started to go around calling my grandmother "sinugaling" in front of us! He was banging around and ranting to the waiters around us. We requested to speak with the mnager, and he was like "I'M the asst manager! she's not here!". Worst service ever we're not coming back. Later on, we were able to speak the manager and she was super apologetic but the asst. manager was glaring at us the whole time.

Went here once with my family at that time they are offering a certain promotion on their dimsums. We decided to try all out, but unfortunately their competitor located near the vicinity is much better in terms of dimsums and the price is more affordable as well compared to them.
