Went straight to Tambayan after my friend's debut.Their drinks are a must try! Even if it is a bit expensive compared to the bars around DLSU. We also tried their Chicken Tenders, it tasted so good especially with the dip and the price was worth it. I also got to try their Lumpiang Sisig which was also good and affordable. The place is so nice, it has wifi and good music. A perfect place to chill with friends without getting sweaty and I would definitely go back here and pay a little extra rather than stay in Taft and smell bad (LOL)My only concern is the food and drink preparation. It was so slow and when our food was served, it was not even that hot.

Not really hard to notice Tambayan along Malate because of it's minimalist exquisite interior. I was able to try Tamabayan on a Friday night so the place was pretty full (FYI Malate is usually busy every night especially Fridays). They serve beer on tap and their appetizers turned "pulutan" is also good. Tried their chicken tenders and sisig wraps(?). Chicken tenders taste regular but the dipping sauce is quite good. Sisig wraps on the other hand is too salty and really oily. In terms of service, they are quite slow and they have few servers to manage tables for the two floors.

Tambayan gastrobar is a resto inside the tambayan capsule hotel located at j.bocobo. You will barely notice this place unless you are familiar with malate area. This is a favorite among younger foreign travellers.Good place for hangout with friends. Nice interiors -lux industrial -a mix of arched walls with open ceiling. We headed out to this place with my mom and sibs, just smacked across my condo for a quick merienda. We ordered:1. Tambayan gastrobar cheeseburger -1/2 pound beef patty, comes with a small bucket of homemade potato chips. (220pesos)Good presentation. Tastewise, it was ordinary and forgettable, but for the price, ambiance and the serving size, it is value for money (220pesos). The patty was juicy and tender, but flavorwise, really boring and generic. Some of the chips are already 'makunat', i guess those are sitting at the kitchen for quite awhile2. Goto -one of their promo meals; simple yet tasty, right amount of meat (80pesos)3. Pares -beef stew with garlic rice; tender meat, melts in your mouth, delicious garlic rice, indeed a perfect pair (80+pesos)4. Halo-halo -it was okay for me; its weird that they added watermelon to halo halo(??). Maybe the run out of another ingredient so they substituted with this insteadThey have fast and reliable wifi connection. They also serve other dishes (mostly filipino comfort food).

Dining at Tambayan could be a hit or a miss, but choosing the right food and drinks could give you a great experience! If you’re in it for an acoustic or jazz night, you can stay in the open rooftop every night. They might not have bands on Sundays though. Meetings or more personal meals are best downstairs. If you don’t know which food to get, I’d recommend their Kare-Kareng Bagnet. This is my favorite meal there. Our staple pulutan would be their chicken tenders. Their sriracha dip is best with the tenders and the chips! Must try.If you’re getting drinks, my all-time favorite is their Pink Abad cocktails. I try hard to get there before 7pm if I want to get buzzed. Cocktails are on a buy 1 take 1 promo every Happy Hour. :)
