Felt like travelling back in its history in this small household like atmosphere restaurant, situated in an old restored home, decorated with nice items and furniture pieces. Delicious and innovative multi-course menu served by an attentive and educated person. Inside our case, we requested vegetariandishes. And enjoyed quite definitely the mix of flavors, quality organic components and skilled preparation. Nice original environment and setting for an instant at 2 or even with a little group.

Gastro And The Globe

We visited Purple Yam as our very first food knowledge in Manila, throughout a 8 hrs layover in the town. It had been on a Sunday night time and we had been the only visitors, we sensed like VIPs with an excellent service; and definitely the food produced thebest of our period there. A richly ready menu revolving round the ocean, chef Rap Cristobal (that time chef Amy and chef Romy weren't in town) informed us that it had been the most recent menu and that people, we were one of the primary ones to use it. Every dish was a satisfaction for the tastebuds and we surely got to learn about locally sourced substances, as in the initial dish a 'Palawan Clams Soup' prepared with an area Rice Wine called Tapuy; a rice wine that is scarce since a typhoon devastated the complete crops a couple of years ago and today they are along the way of starting yet again. Definitely an excellent experience that I'd gladly recommend for just about any food lover attempting to rediscover the tastiest Filipino foods.

We were luckily enough to wait a birthday supper with several friends. Just what a wonderful evening. BYO wines and beer. Foods was great. Pumpkin Soup accompanied by a local fish beginner (can't recall the title of the fish nonetheless it experienced a coconutbased sauce that has been divine) and pork lechon and adobo poultry with brown rise. Therefore therefore tasty. Would go once again any time.

Lunch took 3 hrs and we enjoyed every second. The dog owner and waiter had been great to speak to. Delicious meal and exceptional wine. Hard to produce a reservation- finally achieved it on Facebook.
