The Pan Pacific Sky View Lounge is basically the epitome of a dessert time that anyone would be looking forward to. Let's head on to the review starting with the quality of the service, ambience and the taste of the food. I can't say anything with the quality of service. They really had a great team of waiters and receptionists. They walked us to our seats, letting us choose which area we wanted to go to spectacle the amazing view before us. They immediately handed us the menu and were very responsive in terms of our questions regarding their best sellers and specialties. More than that, they were very immediate in giving us our requests (i.e. asking for water, honey, cream, etc.). Kudos to their staff! The ambience was just to die for. They have a very chic looking lounge with spacious individual chairs, elegant looking couches, meeting tables and glamorous designs. It was totally fantastic! In terms of the food, the desserts were really amazing. We ordered their signature dessert: Mango Tart, Chocolate Soufflé, Iced Mocha and a pot of Mango Strawberry Tea. There was a right balance between the sweetness and other complementary flavors. I can't say anything about the plating and aesthetic, they did an amazing job! With the quality of service, location and food, they were spot-on. I just can't give it a perfect score because for me the desserts were a little bit over-priced. I know this is a hotel and all that, but I just had better desserts from other restaurants that are relatively affordable than theirs. Hence, I can't give it a perfect score. If your wallet's thick, this is the place for an over-all gastronomic adventure while enjoying a sight to behold!

For a limited time only, check out Cusina ni Lola featuring Chef Tatung at the Pacific Lounge at Pan Pacific Manila. Savor classic Filipino dishes just like how your “lola” made it. While we enjoy the new combinations/styles brought by Modern Filipino Cuisine; it’s also nice to take a step (or a lot of steps) back to savor dishes like how it was in the old days. These are more than your lutong bahay; but a tradition of recipes passed down from generation to generation. The ingredients were much simpler and closer to nature; cooking was done over fire and with less electronics and most importantly, filled with a mother or a grandmother’s love!

Do you miss your lola‘s (grandmother’s) cooking that consists of Filipino food based on recipes handed down from generation to generation?. Or do you simply want to reacquaint yourself with Philippine heritage cuisine?. Just right after lenten season specifically from April 17 to 21, head to Pan Pacific Manila’s Pacific Lounge to feast on straightforward Filipino dishes for only PHP 1, 000 (or USD 19.93).

Everytime we stay at Pan Pacific we always make it a point to dine at the Pacific Louge. There are alot of choices varying from American, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino and a lot more. I just love how they customize your omellete that you can partner with either bacon and pancakes or sausage and fried rice or just simply with bread and butter. If you decide to dine here just make sure you are wearing a proper attire or else they will lend you a cloth that you can use to cover up yourself. All in all the amount of what you've paid for is just right for the services offered.

Great service and food! This place deserves a perfect rating. My stay in their hotel is absolutely perfect. Their breakfast buffet and cocktail buffet sends your tummy to heaven.
