I was at Rizal Park and it is not often that I am around the Manila area so I wanted to try a new Korean BBQ place that is not the usual Samgyupsalamat, Romantic Baboy or the like. No hate for them, in fact, I like Samgyupsalamat but I just wanted something new to try.So here comes website in all its useful glory, giving me suggestions of kbbq places near where I am. I saw New Radimi and the price is very affordable and reviews are ok. So we gave this a shot.Upon entering this place, not a lot of diners last night which is good with me. For a little peace and quiet. We were seated at a table for 4 and with great airconditioning breeze. There are only 2 options -- all pork for php345 and pork & beef for php 445. If i recall correctly, those are the exact prices, if not, just a little difference. We were served immediately with the banchan. Choices were quite a lot and what stood out for me are the mashed potato, kimchi soup, steamed egg, and marble potatoes. For the meat, we were served 2 kinds of pork and 1 beef. I kind of had to beg a little so I can be given 1 serving of beef. Because i wanted beef but my companion wants pork only. But since that can't be done there, only 1 type per table, i had to talk them into allowing me what I wanted and they approved. Yey!I was pleasantly surprised that the pork meat was thick and not the thin slices. This is the type of cut that you always see at kdrama or kvariety shows. See my picture of it. That was good! And their very helpful waiter Bert helped us with the cooking of all our meats and thus made them taste better than if I do the cooking. We really appreciate that.Their cheese sauce is good. Not overpowering but just right. But too bad, it was only good for 1 serving. If you order, it is php50. I hope they offer this as part of the whole package.Overall, it was a nice experience. I understand they are under new management now for just a couple of days but so far, so good. Prices are higher now but still fair. As expected from eating at a kbbq place, it's food coma afterwards. But happy tummy.

Don't judge New Ramidi by its location and monoblock chairs.GO here for the following:1. Samgyeopsal - for Php399, you get unlimited pork belly.2. Beef Tenderloin - For Php600, you get unlimited tenderloin which is a very good deal. Good quality tenderloin slices that you could have seared to medium doneness.3. Different array of side dishes - New Radimi has side dishes that you don;t usually find in other Korean places. They have a make-your-own bibimbap, kimchi ramen, chicken fingers and others.

The food was nice. I would say that New Radimi is best for "barkadas" and families that enjoys eating Korean cuisine. The price was also reasonable for 399php per head! Wow! You should also try their orlian and their brownies. Kimchi was good and very fresh compliments the meat (Samgyeopsal) very well.

Their sides are pretty decent and their 600 eat all you can tenderloin is pretty good. We recommend this is what you get on yout visit here. Staff were knowledgable of the food served.

You can count on Radimi to serve the late-night eating and partying crowd this part of Malate. At P399, Radimi serves DIY bibimbap (you assemble your own ingredients), a buffet of glass noodles, vegetables and some meat dishes, and their grilled refillable samgyupsal, cut in thick filet portions. The staff is on the ball and will help you grill, cut, and portion servings. Bump up your order to refillable tenderloin beef, and one pays P600, which is still a good deal.Look up on the left side of the restaurant from the entrance, and you'll see that they sell Korean biscuits, savoury items, ice cream, and liquors, like many Korean (and Japanese) restaurants. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to try and keep some of the dishes from the buffet at the counter warm.New Radimi is located on the left of Mabini St., less than a 100 meters from the corner of Quirino Avenue. At night it's easy to miss so keep your eyes peeled.#zomatofmu
