Location and actual place aside, judging based on the food alone, this old school resto deserves praise.I think this has been around the area for 2 or more decades. Its proximity on UP manila area made it popular among students and UP employees, aside from its regular filipino-chinese patrons.Famed for their braised beef -with rice or noodles, they also serve fresh seafood viands, dimsums, their own formula of 3-in-1 coffee, buko salad/pandan, and Maricar Reyes' (wife of Richard poon -son of the owner) liqour cakes. We ordered their all time favorite braised beef (220pesos) noodles and special beef rice (215pesos).Beef is incredibly soft and tender, their sauce is light soy -not too salty, a little garlicky, and their broth is definitely natural beef flavored, with just the right salt.If i were to choose, the beef noodles is definitely worth the try.

Was our first restaurant to visit after we arrived and dropped our bags.We ordered rice toppings: sinigang na baboy rice , curry beef rice, tomato beef rice and water crest spare ribs soup. Service was good but was disappointed with the food. 2 small cubes of ribs on i think 3/4cup size bowl with spinach (water crest was not available). It was like maybe 5 spoonful content. Tomato beef rice was not good either. Curry beef was more of a tripe than beef meat. If I only knew, we would have tried the roasted duck and noodle soup instead of rice.

This long time Chinese restaurant serves authentic Chinese food. They have a wide selection, I recommend their specialty fish, tausi clams, and their porkchops with yang chow.

late April 2017 dinner experiencehave heard about this resto within the Fil-Chi community for years. I've been waiting for a chance to finally try this place.the ambiance is old school 70s-80s Chinese resto reminiscent of Ongpin which is fine. But then we went here for the food.went with family and kids, 6 adults, 7 kids. food was very good considering the price which is on the affordable side. some of the dishes we ordered:Braised Beef Noodle = melt in your mouth tender beef. Perfection :)Pork Leg/Pata Tim = preparation is well done. This i one dish every Fil-Chi would know if done properly. ExcellentTenderloin w/ Onion = was good tooSpinach Soup = took the longest to arrive but worth the wait. Highly Recommendedbill for more than 10 dishes amounted to P3t which is very affordableCheck this place out. Highly Recommended
