THEREFORE I drove to Maginhawa Street meaning to consume a fat, juicy burger but finished up in Marciana's. I'm so happy I did. Among the best palabok ( a noodle dish with shrimp sauce and topped with prepared shrimp and pork, sprinkled with bitsof crunchy pork rind, smoked seafood flakes, fried tofu, scallions, and fried garlic) I've actually tasted. And the Tokwa't Baboy is quite good-- deep-fried pork tummy chunks with crunchy tofu. The vinegar and soy dip is usually served separately so that you can chew on the pork and tofu like chicharon. The area is quite spartan - just a couple tables (seats 7 -10 people just) with a good decent washrooms to clean the hands and do your organization, Not a spot to bring a romantic date ( okay, perhaps a cheap time) because this location is focused on satisfying cravings for fast, inexpensive Pinoy food. Costs are inexpensive. But parking could be a really trying experience, specifically during peak hours. Worthy of another visit. #pinoyfoodie #palabok
