Awesome Planet describes Mabuhay Palace of Manila Hotel as one of the yummiest Chinese food restos in Manila with a well-curated menu, and innovative food that are usually off the menu list. It's the best choice for celebrating Chinese special occasions (Chinese New Year, Moon Cake Festival, Birthdays, Engagement parties) for the discriminating Chinese website families.Mabuhay Palace website boasts "Delight your palate with the restaurant's lavish menu of authentic Cantonese cuisine as you dine amidst imperial Neo-Classical interiors highlighted by rich hues of bright red, orange, and gold, with chinoiserie carved Chinese dividers, and panels padded with dragon-pattern fabric and glass. As befits its imperial name, the Mabuhay Palace's walls are also adorned with hand-crafted panels made of jade and precious stones which narrate the tale of the philosopher Confucius, opulent art works that took a family of artisans two decades to complete."Apparently, the restaurant has something to brag about, and now that it also offers a lot more choices for vegetarian food. After thousands of years, the Chinese way of dining still thrives and continues to inspire people to have a healthy lifestyle. Keeping this is mind, the Mabuhay Palace of Manila Hotel launches a revitalized vegetarian menu that reflects the Chinese view on food as nourishment and improves one's health.Using the freshest and best vegetable produce, these new veggie dishes are excellent sources of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. The menu includes the all-time favorite Vegetarian Beijing Duck, Steamed Lotus Root with Glutinous Rice Glazed with Sweet Osmanthus Sauce, Yin Yang Winter Melon and Spinach Soup, Stir-Fried Celery with Black Bean Curd and Chinese Wolfberry, Braised Wa Wa Chai with Chestnuts, Deep-Fried Minced Bean Curd with Broccoli flower in Brown Sauce, Stir-Fried Oyster Mushroom with Salt and Pepper, Stuffed Baby Squash filled with Vegetarian Meat and Mushrooms, Vegetarian Lotus Wrapped Fried Rice, and Steamed Sweet Taro filled with Red Bean Cream.Take delight into Mabuhay Palace's new offerings prepared under the supervision of Chinese Executive Chef Sun Bing. One of the unique qualities of Chinese cuisine is in the preparation as they are stir-fried and steamed which brings out the natural flavors of each dish. More importantly, Chinese cuisine follows the balance of the yin and yang ingredients: the yin (moist and wet) cools down the body and the yang (crisp and dry) heats it up.Begin your bid to a healthier lifestyle and indulge in the most luxurious Chinese dining in the city. The Mabuhay Palace is Manila Hotel's Chinese restaurant and is located at the Lobby Level .

website PH and Cruising Magazine held the 15th installment of their Going Places campaign, a year long feast celebrating the 16th anniversary of Cruising Magazine.  On this occasion, we had the good fortune to try the Mabuhay Palace Chinese restaurant at the Manila Hotel.  Two Chinese chefs collaborate on the menu, which features Cantonese, Szechuan, and Beijing cuisine.

It was a great pleasure to be invited by website for Cruising Magazine's 16th year anniversary and for their 15th best restaurant in Manila.Mabuhay Palace serves one of the best chinese (cantonese) cuisine in Manila. It probably had the best complimentary appetizer while waiting for your orders too.I love these wonton chips with honey, I could finish the whole bowl all by myself! The first food that graced our table was the famous Long Life Prawns. The prawn was so fresh you will enjoy eating it even without putting the sauce.Steamed seabass in Celery sauce was the next one. This was my favorite! "Sauce palang ulam na!" That's how I would describe it. It was so good I had to eat it slowly to really savor the taste!Braised spinach Tofu in baby abalone was very flavourful and I would also commend tge brave twist that chef created by mixing the tofu and spinach in one and still making it presentable and well cooked. To complete everything we were also given yangchow fried rice!To end and seal one great meal. Our dessert was the Salted duck egg ice cream! It reminded me of the old school ice cream that everyone enjoyed when we're still kids.Somewhat like rockyroad? But it was really good.Kudos to the chefs, staff and thank you website, Cruising Magazine - Manila Bulletin for having us. It was a great experience to dine in one of the Best Hotels in the Metro.Michelle Ann China Yu Elaine Taningco Mara Navarro Alvin Ong | TFC Raoul Villegas Marianne In Manila

I'd like to give a thumbs up to Manila Hotel for reinventing itself and being a "must-dine" destination in Manila. The restaurant sports avant-garde Chinese look, they took a bit of traditional and blended a few modern touches of elegance. So is the menu, which can afford to look and taste great at the same time. No wonder the place is packing a lot of customers. And just when I thought I've tried inventions and reinventions of Chinese food, the chefs at Mabuhay Palace introduces the Long Life Prawn and the Salted Egg Yolk Ice Cream. These two are just some of the dishes to try here, and two of their most well-known. Delicious!

Really really good Chinese food. Incredibly in love with the duck "sisig" (I think it was called the second wave of duck meals?) that you wrap with lettuce. The shrimp covered with breading was also really good. Tried the bestsellers -- worth the name.

Filipinos and Chinese have been living together in Manila since the 16th century. Binondo is actually the oldest Chinatown in the world. Inevitably, our shared heritageon food, language and the arts over the years have deeply intertwined.  Perhaps another testament to this cultural bond  is Manila Hotel’s  premiere Chinese restaurant, which is called Mabuhay Palace.Despite its Filipino sounding name, it is actually a  fine dining Chinese restaurant with masters Chef Sun Bing from Beijing and dimsum Chef Hou Zhen Hui from Guangzhou at the helm.Last week, I was fortunate enough to be invited by a business publication for lunch at Mabuhay Palace.  Here's my TOP 5 menu items you must definitely try:Honey Glazed Chicken with Ginger Chips: One of chef Sun Bing’s signature dishes. Strips of chicken in sweet savory brown sauce punctuated with candied ginger slices. The ginger also leaves a soothing effect on the throat. If they sold the ginger slices separately, I’d buy them.Steamed Pork and Shrimp Dumpling in Zhe Jiang Vinegar: Proof that good food does not have to be complex. Wonderful flavors of shrimp and pork bursting from its wrap. I can’t have enough of the vinegar.Hargao/Hakaw:  Best Hakaw I’ve tried. Shrimp was perfectly-cooked, leaving it in its naturaljuices. The shrimp meat actually snaps a bit, and water seeps out as you bite into it. We later learned that as a matter of cooking principle and for consistency, the translucent rice wrap has to have 13 fold marks each and every time. Raddish Cake in X.O. Sauce: The smoky and porky taste of this “vegetable” dish got me hooked instantly. Seafood Roll: Wrapped in seaweed and is topped with roe. Better alternative to the traditional siomai. Try it to find out why.The great thing about Mabuhay Palace is that each dim sum is only cooked upon order. (Unlike other hotel restaurants that serve it onsteaming carts.) And this keeps the flavors intact and at its optimum serving temperature.  The restaurant also has a relaxed ambiance that makes it an ideal dining spot for intimate gatherings and business meetings.Function rooms with mini-holding areas are also available for a minimum consumable amount. At P888 net/ head (not P888++), this offer is just too good to miss. Call now for reservation.Thank you to Manila Hotel for hosting our dim sum lunch buffet.

I loved this restaurant, great food, very elegant interiors, quick service and courteous servers. Although prices are kind of steep but it's still worth it. Better apply for the Prestige membership to avail big discount.
