We find ourselves here usually while waiting for other people, or after dining at Cafe Ilang Ilang. Unfortunately, food/coffee is just so-so (like you have no choice) & completely forgettable. & as it is in a hotel, price is really expensive. For real food, just go to Cafe Ilang Ilang.Taste - 2.5Value for Money - 2Service - 3Ambience - 4.5

Went here for midnight snacking with my family. Most of us ordered sandwiches and something light. To our suprise, they're not light at all. Sure the price is for a 5star hotel, but i tell you 1 sandwich can feed 2- 3 person! They're huge but at the same time they all tasted soo good. Value for money right there!

Afternoon tea is offered at P650 and is good for two. One gets a small pot of green tea (sadly, not loose leaf, though it's Twinings), and a lovely tray of Filipino and Continental finger food - some bibingka and puto bumbong; tomato and kesong puti in soft rolls and salmon tea sandwiches; a couple of tartlets, a chocolate mousse, and ube cake.It is an accessible experience. For those willing to spend more, it should make sense to offer a more extensive high tea option.Lovely nonetheless to linger here, admire the hotel's grand capiz chandeliers, oversized paintings, and enjoy the occasional burst of music from the lobby musicians who grace the hall.

The Manila Hotel's lobby is so iconic and it has remained the same ever since I can remember. The mood was so cheery yesterday as we checked in with Christmas classics being played on the piano. The cheeriness was so infectious that we decided to forego dinner at Cafe Ilang-Ilang and hang out at the Lobby Lounge instead. Christmas was definitely in the air! The beautiful towering tree was flanked by gold nutcrackers on each side. People were all happy and smiling, taking pictures with Santa and his elves. The atmosphere was addictive to be honest. After placing our orders, we listened to the band play classics and munched on some peanuts. Our orders were served swiftly and covered with saran wrap as it was making its way from the kitchen. Much appreciated.👍 My fiance and I ordered the Manila Hotel clubhouse, which made us glad we did not order a Caesar salad because it was so big. It was also the most unique clubhouse we have ever shared. Served in a bread "container", the sandwich was nestled inside the bread housing and you have to reach in to get a piece. It was not bad in terms of taste-- all components were present but I did not enjoy the bread. I just prefer other kinds of bread over rye. We also shared the Pizza Manila Hotel, which was topped cheese, olives, and chorizo. We liked this pizza actually, which had a thin crust that I prefer. We couldn't finish these two dishes.... Well, honestly because we were saving space for the puto bumbong. Told you, the festive atmosphere was infectious!❤️ The puto bumbong was served with muscovado, niyog and cheese. It was interesting but we both felt that it needed more butter. I wouldn't recommend this dish, especially since there are a lot of things on the menu. The meal was on the expensive side, as expected from an upscale hotel. We did enjoy the band as we sipped on cold beer. P.S.Service was excellent!

Manila Hotel's lobby is beautiful. There's a piano playing in the background, and servers wearing traditional Filipino wares. I went with some foreign guests here after a tour of Intramuros for late lunch and some drinks. Although ambiance and atmosphere are bar none, my drink, the Charlemagne (one of their signature cocktails) was so-so. No hint of gin, only of simple syrup and soda, which made it taste a lot like a Shirley Temple. Also got a Caesar salad, which contained more iceberg than romaine. Quite disappointing also. Food and drinks should match the initial impression the hotel gives.

Ordered for freshly brewed coffee, hot chocolate, and cappuccino. For some reasons, we had to leave our table for a few minutes and we told the servers about it. When we went back, our table was now occupied by other people but we barely drank, touched, & haven't even paid for our drinks. My mom just told them to bring the drinks to our rooms instead. No compensation was done by the hotel. Disappointing. As expected, the drinks were a bit expensive because it's inside a hotel, but we didn't mind. I just hope they did something to compensate for it. We visit Manila Hotel every year but still, their service has always been very poor. Also, improve the place/tables! They're too limited.

Love the complementary nuts and customer service. Nothing exceptional with the seafood pasta we ordered. Ambiance is okay, very Filipino, lots of tourists.

Went here the other night to have some merienda. The place was packed but good thing there were still some unoccupied tables. Ambiance was alright, although as always, I think the space is too dimly lit. Service was a bit slow, but understandable because there were a lot of people when we went. Food was just okay. We had four cheese pizza (not pictured) and the Robot - the pizza from their kid’s menu. I honestly liked the one from the kiddie menu more (all meat pizza. They don’t have that in their regular pizza section and from my experience they don’t allow you to request for pizza flavors outside of their menu, though weird enough we got to do so maybe once/twice. Maybe it depends on the server?). Palabok was just okay.

Had afternoon snacks when we checked in at Manila Hotel. Ordered bibingka and hot chocolate. I'm not a fan of bibingka so I don't know if it's really good but my parents and brother liked it. The hot chocolate was so-so.
