I've always dined at their Alonzo branch as it is the main branch. Just for randomness and wandering around the halls of Lucky Chinatown Mall, we tried this branch of Ling Nam.The good thing about this branch is that they serve congee the entire day or until supplies last for the day which is late.I was also surprised to know that aside fron their usual dimsum, they also serve hakaw (shrimp dumpling) and chicken feet. Aside from that, they also serve hofan (thick flat rice noodles). The hofan is quite bland as it is dependent on the taste of the background. Although the chicken soup is flavorful it is not that strong to give the noodles flavor. So the dish turned out bland. Hofan noodles, I think, is best for stir-fried version.

Went to 168 to buy some stuff for a party and I ended up going to Lucky Chinatown first because of the rain last Saturday. Since I was craving for hakaw and Ling Nam was on the ground floor, I decided to try this place. The food:Compared to hakaw I've had from a different Chinese restaurant in the same mall, this one surely hits the spot. It has real shrimps, not some odd ball inside. Tiny problem is, the hakaw wrapper seems to be too soft it tears easily. But taste-wise, it hits the cherry. I also ordered a bowl of congee or lugao/lugaw because it seems to go well with the cold weather due to the rain. The plain congee I ordered came with an egg. It added a flavor to an otherwisw bland dish. The service:The staff is very helpful. They even asked if it was my first time to dine in there. They had suggestions and seem to know the menu and the food they serve.

Beef noodle and siomai and asado siopao are the best combination. The original restaurant is at t. Alonzo and still the best noodle house for over 50 years or more. I've been at the Alonzo restaurant since I was a child. Still the same taste. I prefer ling nam over ma Mun Lok (masuki)

One of the best dimsum houses you can find here in Binondounfortunately since I’ve been to their main branch numerous times the tastethey offer is not the same. Nothing beats the original branch when servingtheir famous dishes.

Ling Nam is already considered an institution in Chinatown. This hole-in-the-wall mami house whose original branch is in Alonzo St. Binondo is known for their noodles, siopao and congee (and also all-male waitstaff). While a lot of people may insist on eating on the main branch to ensure authentic flavor and experience, I guarantee that this outlet equally delivers since it's not a franchise. Being relatively new, this place is well-lit, clean and well-ventilated. Service, while not stellar, is okay. Now don't forget to order their beef mami, chicken mami and wonton mami. OK, what I meant was try all of them because they're all satisfying, both for the palate and tummy.

My very first time here. We ordered Hakaw and the Beef Noodles( I forgot the name), which were according to my boyfriend are the best. The Hakaw is the best coz it's made of shrimp. I really liked it very much. When it comes to the noodles, I found it very salty but the beef and sioma on top of it were very good; the beef was so tender plus some veggies also. I was not able to finish it, coz Im really full so there was like 40% of noodles left in the bowl. We just had water for the drinks coz my boyfriend doesnt drink colored beverages too much now. The crews were very accomodating and the ambiance was also very refreshing.

Ordered Beef and Wanton Mami, and Siopao (Asado and Bola-bola). Really loved the mami! Bit disappointed lang talaga sa siopao because lasang usok, na hindi ko talaga bet. I ended up finishing the mami, at hindi ko na inubos yung siopao. Ambiance was okay, as well as the crew. Super affordable price so nit bad to give it a try.

The rice that they use for their "lugao" (Halo halo lugao) smelled so awful I almost puked. Their siomai looks and tastes like it's been sitting in the steamer for about a week. I am beyond disappointed.

Grew up having this bowl after school and the taste hasn’t change. Noodles are chewy and has a bite to it and the beefy broth has this distinct Chinese taste I love. Hearty and classic goodness in a bowl! Will keep coming back to this.
