I was excited with the opening of Lazy Bastard in taft area because I've been wanting to try this place for a while already. I was disappointed because only a few were available in their menu, and they don't have the waffle maker yet for their DIY breakfast sandwich which is a big turn off to the place. I ordered their french toast instead but it didn't taste like one. The bread was still too dry (french toasts are supposed to be drenched in milk to make it soft). It tasted like normal bread pan fried on butter only. Next, their sloppy joe was also not something you'd love if you're an intense burger fanatic because it's just normal ground beef and the tomato-based sauce didn't match nicely with the beef. I'd still go back to this place to give it another chance; I hope they have most of the items in their menu already.

Expected a lot about this place. Maybe expectation is indeed the root cause of all disappointments 😂 They only offer slappy joe when we went here. One comment: TOO MUCH OIL. I can say the taste's somehow good but it was really oily. Yes, it is just like a "giniling with sauce" but it's not your typical "giniling". I was still able to find its uniqueness compared to other giniling. You also have the option to add one siding and a drink for P90. So that's a total of P240. Their fries was okay. Their onion rings was so big, thanks for that. However, nothing special. Their bread was also bland. Their hotdogs cost around P200-300 but they were not really that good. The place was also small so you need to go early if you want to have your chair inside or else you're staying outside. I like their "long live bacon" sign though. I also appreciate the effort to make the place pretty despite its size. The service was also good enough. I'm still intrigue with their Bacon Milkshake so I might come back. But overall, their food was PRICEY and OILY. I hope they improve this.

I am super glad Lazy Bastard thought about opening a branch in Taft where I work. I tried their Chilidog. It was really really good. I love how big it was, super meaty and tender.. and at the same time a bit crunchy because of the bacon. I'll definitely go back and try other items on the menu.. Long Live Bacon!!

I had the Parmesan Honey dog (200php) + combo upgrade (90php). I loved how juicy and flavorful the sausage was, it was perfectly paired with arugula and parmesan to balance the flavor. It had hints of sweetness on the bun too, may be weird but I actually liked it. Very clever! For me it's worth the price. For the combo, I got the tater tots, it was okay but I'm not really a fan of super duper fried food, so I didnt finish it. The calamantea tasted like normal sweetened iced tea. Next time just ditch the combo upgrade if you're watching your diet! But overall, this place is really good, staff were friendly, and ambiance nice. There were a few 'langaws' making appearance while I was eating though, but not really a reason to hate.
