I tried to eat at this branch while I was heading to buy Shanghai Fried Siopao in Ongpin. I ordered Beef Wanton La Mien. The place is clean and very quiet. You can only hear chinese diners chattings. I even felt sad for the waitress cause she really had a hard time taking their orders because they only speak chinese. Anyway, I love the taste of their hand pulled noodles, it's quite different from those I tried before. The beef brisket and beef broth are also very tasty which over powered the wanton.

It doesnt have that typical mami flavor but the soup was good. Wasnt expecting to go out of this place stuffed. The noodles were very heavy and for its price. very worth it 😁

I always find good noddle dishes as comfort food. thus, finding a place like this is pretty amazing. (PS. Just came home from here)Place: Its a tiny (as in literally tiny) space right across the busy area of Metropolitan Hospital. That being said, I went here this morning to find the place packed with people and a line waiting for take-outs. They only have 6 sets of tables, hence, be prepared to share your seat with strangers. No parking space as well.Service: The service is prompt, as expected from Chinese restos. However, I've experienced quite a number of wrong orders from its staff - especially during peak hours. That being said, I always leave tips because they're courteous. Food (and Beverages): What they serve here is really good. Its light, tasty, and comforting. However, the tito lamien is a bit pepper-y (to remove any aftertaste) and some dishes a bit too greasy.Value: For its taste and serving size, its def worth it.

Me and my friend have recently been looking out for places that serve really good noodle dishes and I must say coming over to Binondo and trying Lan Zhou La Mien didn’t disappoint! We’re both into spicy food and had each decided to order the spicy beef noodle dishes. Spicy Beef La Mien for her, and Spicy Beef Knife for me. We were initially told that the spice might be too much to handle but we had both shrugged it off as we had thought that maybe it wasn’t so bad, seeing as we were both really into spiciness. But boy, were we wrong! 😂 One serving was already enough for two people, and the first few sips of the soup along with several slurps of the noodles and my lips were already burning, not to mention the beads of sweat forming over my forehead! 😅 I wasn’t just about to quit because it was sooooo good, but eventually had to stop halfway through as I no longer could take it and just watched in awe as my friend was able to finish hers. Just as we were about to leave, one of the other servers approached us to give us more water and told us that we actually had the option to select the level of spiciness—would’ve been quite a helpful fact to learn while we were ordering. 🤔 (which was one if the reasons why I gave it a 3 star rating) Nevertheless, me and my friend are still looking forward to coming back and trying out the ((less)) spicy beef noodles the next time!

Lan Zhou La Mien is popular for its noodles and dumplings. The Eatventurers, however, loved their noodles better. We've been here several times before but we can say that their bao bao sha guo la mien is their best. It almost has everything we need: beef, pork, chicken, fish, seafood and tito (pig's tripe). One bowl is already good for two to three people.Despite having variety of toppings, the bao bao sha guo la mien still tastes good. The beef dominates the taste of broth. We love how generous they are with toppings, it is indeed meaty. We're not a fan of tito as it is somehow bitter-tasting.To spice up the noodles, you can add chili oil or spring onions. The Eatventurers have tried other noodles of Lan Zhou La Mien and we can say all of them are good. Their dumplings are also good.Full review at: http://www.eatventurers.com/2018/02/8-binondo-manila-foodtrip-for-a-day.html?m=0#more | The Eatventurers
