Isla Cafe is located along a hallway at Robinsons Place Manila. It serves traditional Filipino dishes and merienda fare. The Hacienda Style Arroz Caldo and the Tokwa't Baboy is a great combination. The congee is big enough for single serving but it is flavorful and good. The tokwa't baboy adds sourness, saltiness, and crunch to the dish. (It is ordered separately). For dessert, I enjoyed the Malaubeng Panaginip and the Cassava Cake with Salted Caramel. Malaubeng Panaginip is Leche Flan on top and Ube Haleya at the bottom. It is sweet and sinful, but good. I love cassava cake and this dish adds to the reason why I love it.Ambiance is set on a spanish colonial period. Staffs are friendly. #yummiez

ISLA CAFERobinsons ManilaThough the place was open to the public, you can still feel the calming ambiance of an Old Filipino-Spanish Style house, from the chairs and tables, to the decorations and the staffs uniforms. Everytime I visit this place, the staffs wear different Filipinianas and Barongs. Seing these people makes me the old Filipino-Spanish era, they even call me "senyorita" ahahah! (feeling donya that time oha!) And of course for the males, they call them "senyorito", hmmm I wonder if they use senor and senora, maybe for the old ones! 😜They serve various Filipino dishes which you will surely love. But the food that keeps us coming back here is the #MALAUBENGPANAGINIP that melts in your mouth and the #CASSAVACAKE! Come and try this place for some old time loving! 😘😘😘

This was just bad.. Sauce was diluted.. Noodles were not strained properly like this was done in a rush.. No wonder it took me more than a year to go back..
