For those who loves Ramen and other Japanese Cuisine, Hokusai serves an authentic Japanese food with a reasonable price that fits on your budget.

One of the best place for japanese food. The price is really cheap and the food was great! Will come back again. The tantanmen is great and also the rockin roll.

My guy and I decided to have ramen for snacks. We read the reviews of the place first before going..but it was a mix review. Some liked their experience, some didnt. I have to be honest that I am slightly disappointed (but hey what did u expect from the price, right?)We both had ramen. The broth was ok. My guy liked the chashu. What we didnt like was the noodles. It felt like we were eating Mami noodles. Lol. Such a let down. The chashu saved the ramen. But then again, what did u expect from the price right? It took a while for the Maki to be served but they apologized so its ok. All I have to say is that the maki saved the experience!! It's good but the rice was so-so.Ambiance.. small but well lit. Its ok.Service.. okay but they arent that attentive to the customers that much..

My friend and I went here because we were craving for some ramen. The place is kind of hard to spot on if you don't really look hard since the signage outside was a bit small.FOOD - we ordered tonkatsu ramen, California maki, gyoza and ebi tempura. I must say, the ramen is average but still tastes good considering the price. The maki, gyoza and tempura are amazing! Those are a must try!SERVICE - we had to wait a bit longer for our food to be serve since I think they make everything from scratch and there is only one cook.AMBIANCE - the place is quite small and lacks ventilation. It can only occupy upto 20pax I think but hey, only a few people were there when we came so lots of space.Overall, this is a restaurant we are definitely recommending and worth to go back to. For a total of P500 for two persons, our tummy is filled. Plus, the owner is nice and handles the customers very well.

The place is small. Seats and tables are limited. The staffs are friendly. We ordered california maki and pizza roll. Didn't like pizza roll that much it is too cheesy. We also ordered shoyu ramen (worth the price). Pork cheesy katsu (i didn't like their cheese) and pork curry katsu ( this one's okay). Will definitely come back for the ramen and california maki 😊

We’ve been eating here since last year (or last last idk) and we always had a great time. Good food, affordable price and the service is great too! We already know them by face and they always welcomed us well. We have already tried all of their maki and ramen. Shoyu Ramen and Tiger roll was my favorite. Karaage was good to! Often, we eat here after going to church. Maybe it was fortunate for us that we seldom wait to be seated.I sometimes crave for jap food and this is a great place to satisfy my cravings. Will always come back. ❤️

Good food considering the price! Our go-to japanese place in UST. Very affordable sushi. Must try: salmon roll, katsudon, tiger roll and a lot more!

We’ve been here for like 3 times and I’m satisfied with what I’ve had so far until the last time I went there. I ordered california maki, and I think they use plain rice instead of the sticky one.It just tastes weird. Or maybe I just came at a wrong time? Nonetheless they should be consistent with their food.Though their chicken katsudon tastes nice but with little serving, I’m not yet satisfied. As for the gyoza it tastes okay but my friend suggests that its too gingery..Overall its good but they could still get better.

My go to place whenever I'm craving for ramen/donburi. Nearest and cheapest place which offers Japanese food but you shouldn't expect much from it. It offers good food for a fair price that's why I gave 4 stars. The ramen is okay for me and best paired with the gyoza. I've tried all of the ramen in the menu but the tantanmen was the one for me, it's not too spicy though. I've also tried most of the donburi, I would prefer the beef misono. I can't give any reviews about the maki because I don't eat that. Place is small but okay. Service is moderate. Staff is okay as well. They will give you your own order slip to write down your orders.Overall: Good.

We had our dinner here a while ago and it was great!! We enjoyed the food — ordered Tantanmen & Nigiri Sushi. Nigiri was is very affordable and tasty at the same time. It might be not as delicious as those of expensive ones but this is a place to recommend for those Japanese cuisine craving people that is on tight budget.Would have given it a 5 but the lemonade cucumber was a bit bland and space is too small. But over all, it’s very good! Definitely going back.
