Ha Yuan is famous for its great maki soup. Aside from the maki, the tofu products here are really fresh. Sweet taho is also available here. This place is very near the Chinese schools; thus, most of its customers are the students. I hope that the owners will renovate this place.

I like the makimi. When I'm hungrier, I order the fresh lumpia too. My comfort food!!!!!!. The resto has been existing for a long long long time. How else can I doubt how well they mastered my two faves?!

For over three decades now, Ha Yuan's maki has been a favorite Chinese comfort food since I first tasted it as a young kid at the food court of SM (then, "Shoemart") Cubao in 1984. Now that I live in Makati City, I go all the way to Masangkay just to eat maki in this restaurant. The taste hasn't changed; still that yummy, gooey brown sauce with breaded pork, and still my gold standard when it comes to maki quality. The place is already old, perhaps needing some makeover and renovation, but it gives that authentic "Old Manila Chinatown" feel.
