Exile has a lot of great food options at student-friendly price. This place is almost always full, with people drinking away as soon as the store opens. Alongside their wacky decorations, like the inverted table glued to the ceiling, they have a wide selection of books and story collections which you can frequent while waiting for your food. As for food, their frequent flyers are good, but I personally prefer their Gimme Shitake, which are chive-encrusted shitake mushrooms deep fried to perfection and their Drunk Dory, which is just the perfect serving for someone on a diet. For their pastas, I prefer Sunshine Pesto as all the others were new, but not great. Like everyone else, I also enjoy their Y Tu Mama Brownie and Apple Pie. I often add a scoop of their ice cream to make it taste even better.I love Exile. It is a Vito Cruz staple and people not from the area should definitely try it.

Exile is the place to go for those craving for late night beer sessions just around Taft. Although the place is a bit small, students often go there for their budget-friendly chicken wings and not-so-expensive beer. Would love to give this place a higher rating if they expand their menu! Nevertheless, the ambiance just fits the overall hipster theme. Place is also clean! Food however is so-so. Chicken and blue marlin is always dry. But well, you get what you pay for!

I've heard that Exile on Main St. is a popular hangout place in the DLSU area. Furniture is old, place is dark but homey. Food was not at all what I expected. The deep fried shiitake mushrooms were very bitter. The crust of the beer-battered dory had a toasted flavour which even the lemon caper sauce could not mask. I have no idea why they said on the menu that the dory placed a close second for their bestselling spot.Probably the most acceptable is the Dorytos which contains pasta in tomato and cream sauce. Looked and tasted homemade. But still too salty for my taste. Not coming back. Ever.

Exile remains as one of the few mildly decent place to go for a late night fix that doesn't bring you to noisy and rowdy bars around La Salle's area. The place is small, the lighting is dark, and the menu is limited. Perhaps one of their few saving graces would be the fact that they serve alcohol. Their Druken Dory isn't great on taste but isn't terrible. It really boils down to the question of what other choices do the students in this area have to go to late at night. I guess they wouldn't have a reason to complain. I've been meaning to go back and try their other stuff but the place was always full, so that's probably on of their biggest downsides. Basically, food isn't great but isn't terrible. They serve alcohol, so yay?

One of my favorite go-to place whenever I'm out to get dinner with my taft barkada. They serve good pastas and wings!! My favorite is their dorytos, which is white sauce pasta with garlic, and battered cream dory fish plus lots of parmesan on top. It's very creamy and satisfying and the pasta has te right consistency. Their wings are also a must try and you can choose among their 4 flavors which are all equally delicious!! Will never get tired of this place. 😋
