EAT(dot)CAFE,  I like their simple yet catchy and easy to remember name. In this Cafe you can really eat a lot because of their tasty yet healthy dishes and when you're close to being full that's when the ( . ) came in. Period, dot as in pause, stop, rest for a while   in their relaxing (almost lounge) place with tv and wifi for free and Cafe to order your coffee or imported tea's with a slice of cake or cupcakes.Place:Can accommodate up to 20-30 persons. In the heart of Adriatico, Malate but when your inside you can really unwind and destress. Food: 5 words Comfort Food with amazing innovations :) HUGE SERVINGS! ideal for sharing or for foodies with big appetiteMy Faves:Oats Caldo Eat.Cafe's version of arroz caldo in Oats! Slow Clap for this! Mushroom Fritters are the Bomb!Spicy Tuna, Tomato and OlivesGrilled Chicken Pesto andSmoked Ham with Spicy Pineapple Campote is my Favorite! Flavorful Ham, Sweet and a bit SpicyPineapple Campote that they spread on the crusty yet soft bread , creamy mayo and garlic  and fresh cucumber is SUPER!I enjoyed my visit at Eat.Cafe and I'll definitely be coming back for more.check out lifeofaci for more details about Eat.Cafe soon

Had a wonderful dinner here last night. The place is very easy to find, located at Mezzanine floor of V Hotel, Adriatico, Manila. The ambiance is very cozy for me, they had enough space for a wonderful dining experience with your loved ones/family. They first served the Oats Caldo, this is the healthier version of arroz caldo. The flavor is very rich and for sure even kids will enjoy this dish. They also served the sandwich and I love the combination of sweetness and a little spicy. I also tried the Croque Madame and I love it because of cheese! For the pasta, Chicken Parmigiana and Chicken Pesto are served. The best part for me is desserts, Chocnut Cheesecake and Walnut brownies are the best. More on my blog mamiandfamily.blogspot.com soon.

Apparently, I was consumed by the whole idea of their resto - to bring comfort food in the most modern sense of it. For one, I found their food to be both inventive and hearty, not scrimping on major flavor components. Before I go on to the very details of their menu, let me first take you on a short photo tour of their cozy cafe. From outside the building of V Hotel, you can get a glimpse of the cafe on the floor above the hotel's lobby. Don't get intimidated going up, the doorman will gladly show you to the elevator and tell you to hit the M button, which is the Mezanine. As the door opens, a huge glass encasement filled with their daily baked goodies beckons and next to it is the long open kitchen counter where you can see some of the kitchen actions.Shabby chic inspired with alternating hues of gray and white with tables and chairs spread all over the area, and in one corner enclaved a sofa set, perfect for that quiet afternoon tea or coffee paired with their freshly-baked pastries.Eat-Pray-LoveProbably was their quote of inspiration. Drawing motivations from the book of Elizabeth Gilberts or Julia Robert's movie. We began dinner with this impressive Oats Caldo. For a while there I thought they highlight on serving an all-day breakfast menu with the savory oatmeal. Again, they had me at oats, I love eating oatmeal for breakfast, with bananas, sometimes strawberries or dried fruits, without milk but blightly sweetened with raw honey. However, the radical twist of cooking it like Arroz Caldo, seasoned with chicken stock and topped with pan-fried chicken instead of the usual fruits. The serving may be good for two but I think I ate the whole bowl, cause it's that good! Undoubtedly, this cafe is beginning to make me feel right at home, except, I could not perfect a Croque Madame just as they would. Aside from, oatmeal, we do gorge a substantial amount of grilled sandwiches at home, mostly on days when it's just me and hubs over brunch. But unlike their version of Croque, mine does not have the creamy bechamel sauce mantled around it and the egg usually a hit and miss. The lovely crunch on the supposed croque is there with slightly softened texture on the outside from the bechamel, added with the savory ham inside is enough actually for a hefty meal for either brekkie or lunch.Check out more dish recommendations from my blog, link below. Now I beg you, if you were not blown away enough with all that I recommended, then make sure to never leave the cafe without reveling in their desserts and pastries. Partner it with their local blend of freshly brewed coffee concoctions and a good selection of gourmet teas. This slice of Chocnut Cheesecake is telling you, "Eat me!" A heavenly layer of chocolate cookie crumb, baked cheesecake, chocolate ganache and crowned with bits of Choc-Nuts. You can also go simply with their best-selling brownies, Chili Brownies and Walnut Brownies. You can always go ala carte or check out their daily meal packages which are , might I say very affordable. They can also be a venue for parties with a maximum of 60 pax, and they would love to work with you on a catering package.  Everything was great here, ambiance food and service!  Another bang for your buck.

A casual dining place at the heart of Malate, Manila serves different kinds of comfort food. Eat. Cafe (Eat dot Cafe) offers a wide range of comfort food which makes your every meal - especially breakfast, as an awesome dining experience.**Place/Service - Eat. Cafe is located at the Mezzanine floor of V Hotel, Malate, Manila. Even the actual place is quite small, the very classy ambiance inside makes you feel very comfortable of eating here. Staffs are ready to accommodate you for your requests.**Here are some of the dishes we tried here at Eat. Cafe:✔ Oats Caldo (Php 210.00) - Do you love the famous Arroz Caldo? Here at Eat. Cafe, they have their own version of Arroz Caldo. Instead of using rice, they used oats. I find this very unique and it is surprisingly delicious! Add some thick chicken cuts on top of this favorite comfort food by many and your breakfast is perfect. It is a must-try dish.✔ Smoked Ham with Spicy Pineapple Compote (Php 210.00) - Yum! This sandwich may look like a simple one but as soon as you'll have your first bite, it is going to be one of your favorite sandwich. The smoked ham combined with some mayo, pineapple jam and a bit of spiciness makes you actually crave for more. ✔ Croque Madame (Php 370.00) - A very thick sandwich. Its a ham and cheese sandwich with bechamel sauce and fried egg on top. I thought this dish would be salty but it's actually not. The bread may look like it's too thick but all the ingredients on this dish blended really well.✔ Beef with Fried Egg and Mushroom [Open face sandwich] (Php 220.00) - Mushroom + Egg + Beef on top of a very thick slice of bread. Delicious!✔ Mushroom Fritters (Php 180.00) - Honestly, I never enjoyed eating Shitake Mushroom but after I tasted these fritters, I will surely try some more! Eat. Cafe's Mushroom Fritters is really a must-try and everyone's favorite. It's a batter-coated Shitake Mushroom, deep-fried and served with garlic flavored mayo. It's a combination of crispiness of the batter + the softness of the mushroom. Yummy!✔ Spicy Tuna, Tomato and Olives (Php 220.00) - If you love spicy dishes then this dish is for you. Enjoy your favorite pasta with spicy tuna + chunks of small tomatoes and olives. Very aromatic. A bit spicy for me but delicious.✔ Chicken Parmigiana (Php 220.00) - A combination of cheese and tomato sauce plus thick cuts of chicken on top.✔ Grilled Chicken Pesto (Php 240.00) - A choice of pasta or rice. The pesto is perfect for me because the flavor is not too strong. It is topped with thick slices of chicken.✔ Potato Leek Soup (Php 160.00) - A perfect soup to partner with bread. The combination of potato plus leek is very good. Quite heavy on stomach. Perfect to eat while it's hot.✔ Chocnut Cheesecake - Your favorite Chocnut now comes with a cheesecake! This chocolate cheesecake topped with our favorite Chocnut is a perfect dessert to try!**Price - For me, it's a perfect place to have breakfast and what's more - the price is affordable. Dishes are almost perfect for sharing. The price is really not bad for dishes as delicious as what they serve here.**Recommendations - Eat. Cafe is located at the Mezzanine floor of the hotel. It might hard to find by others because it lacks of signage. I would suggest that they should put up some visible signage outside the hotel so that other people would try their cafe not just the customers of their hotel.  **Verdict - Even though the whole road of Malate have lots of different restaurants, what makes Eat. Cafe unique compared to others are their wide range of comfort food rather than those usual Korean, Japanese and American restaurants around. It's a perfect place to enjoy your favorite sandwiches, pasta, soups and other comfort food. Eat. Cafe is a must-try!

I had an opportunity to try EAT Cafe using a GC I received. I was actually excited to try it out after hearing good things about the place. It is located at the Mezzanine floor of the V Hotel in Malate. We decided to head there for lunch since we were already in the area. The restaurant actually looks nice, relaxing yet hip. It was actually quite nice except for a few things.STAFF WERE WATCHING MOVIESIt was a slow Sunday and we were the only customers. The waitress was okay but some of the other staff were watching movies, loudly, on a computer behind the counter area. This kind of thing is starting to become another pet peeve of mine - restaurant staff playing inappropriate music/movies for the restaurant's ambience. It's a cafe. It's not a beer garden or something. Just last month, we went back to a healthy spa-type cafe/restaurant and experienced the same thing - staff playing hip hop R&B (shouldn't they be playing spa music or something slow and instrumental?).As the only customers, and with the movie loudly playing in the background, we felt like we weren't supposed to be there and actually felt like leaving. It was not a good experience in terms of ambience or feeling welcome to stay and catch up with each other. Also, parking is limited to the 2 slots in front of the hotel.THE FOODWe ordered the Pesto Cream with Grilled Chicken (P185) and the Ham, Cheese and Mushroom Omelette (P180) and I forgot the exact name, but it was a Chocnut Cheesecake. The Pesto Cream pasta was actually a big serving, good enough for 2 light eaters. It was okay, it was good. Not bad. The Ham, Cheese & Mushroom Omelette was also good. The cheesecake was heavy but also good. For a cafe like this, I find the food okay. It's delicious but not anything out of the ordinary. However, the servings were generous so it's sulit.SUMMARYI really think this cafe is a nice place to hang out, if only they could work on the staff & ambience issues mentioned above. The place really looks great and homey. It is also very spacious, aircon is cool. The food is affordable and sulit. I can really imagine more well-to-do students hanging out there for their study groups, or just hanging out at a home away from home.
