During my first visit to David's Tea House, I was lucky enough to be with a friend who knew the restaurant inside out! From sauce preparation to the recommended order of eating the hot-pot items, plus a description pa of each item! 'twas like a historical-gastronomical trip! Everything was good, especially the mozzarella balls! The soups we had were also quite flavorful, and the sauce created by my friend was awesome! And, their Yang-Chow fried rice? I could eat that without any viand!

Typical chinese restaurant, nothing special. Their Nido soup was nothing but ordinary. (Knorr taste even better) Though their dimsum tastes good. Nothing more :(

Our mate from Hong Kong was adamant we try David's Tea House out for some authentic Hong Kong Chinese fare. He did the ordering and we were happy with the taste. Overall, the place is slightly above average but the taste is good enough to repeat. --A drop of ink may make a million think. @AyaashPaw

Food: ++++Their rice, to my delight, was slightly glutinous and was superbly paired with the chicken mushroom I ordered. Their beef wanton's noodles was slightly hard yet the broth was still flavorful. House tea was also yum! Service: +++++The servers even the sup on duty were all supper attentive and friendly.Atmosphere: +++We had to share a table with other diners since the place was full. We were seated near the wash area and unfortunately, it was not the best place in the resto since it's also near the stairs leading to their kitchen.Price: ++++Value for money 👌

My friends and I celebrated Chinese New Year and went here for *a  late* dinner. We ordered:- Garlic Rice that I rate 4.5/5. By far one of the tastiest garlic rice I've ever tasted except this one's a little bit expensive for its serving.- Lemon Chicken that I rate 3/5. The breaded chicken's good, but the 'lemon sauce' tasted a bit weird. It was as if I had melted candy on my food (Maxx lemon, specifically). - Century Egg Congee that I rate 3/5. It was a little bland, with literally just the rice and century egg; nonetheless, edible.- Siopao deserves 5/5. It didn't disappoint (or bc it tasted like every other siopao?).- David's Special Noodles is rated 2/5. My soup was served a little cold already that when I mixed my  noodles in, it didn't seem cooked. The noodles were still hard. Soup was bland, meat was bland, and I almost gagged at the taste of what's that, fish ball or smth. It looked good as a whole, but made me sad.+ 0.5 for free/service tea (served once).Overall, 2.5Food: 3.5 / 5Service: 2 / 5 (Staff worked slow, not very much attentive to our orders, and even left our table half-cleaned. We had to clean our oily table ourselves. The whole place didn't seem very much sanitized as well with sticky floors and aaaall. Mr. Security Guard, who as in-charge of the queue that night was also a bit confused in terms of order of accommodation.)Value for Money: 2/5 (I don't think any of us will come back again. This is as honest as I can get.)

I like eating shabu shabu here simply because the ingredients are within a level of expected quality. There is a wide selection to choose from though my staples are sliced beef, suahe , taro, and corn. I recommend adding oysters, sliced chicken, any veggie of your choice . My kind of soup is always the combination. My dip includes loads of garlic, chilies and the shabu soy sauce mix. To enjoy shabu, I say "do not dunk everything in all at once." One at a time, whatever cooks longest to quickest. Take it easy and slow , savor the taste , no pressure of overcooking I declare this as my comfort food , actually. End the meal with white almond gulaman, happiness!!!!!. My only issue, suahe is often out of stock.

A typical chinese food but defenitly one of the best around the metro today. I personally love David's tea house. Most especially this branch because they're accomodating and respectful. One of my favorite orders here are the hakaw, yang chow fried rice and their mango shake. :) good job DTH!:)

My wife and I have been a frequent customer of David's Tea House Sta. Cruz branch for almost 5 years until we got married and moved to Makati. Every now and then, we still find our way to Sta. Cruz to get a taste of what we believe are the best dimsum in the metro. Their siomai, hakaw, and other variety of dimsum are absolutely delicious. It's like how dimsum should really be made! Pure meat, with no extenders (at least none that we could taste or see). Their congee is a favorite as well as their machang. Great dimsum at very affordable prices!
