I noticed that there were too many students coming inside Cafe UK so I got curious. I decided to go inside and see what they have. To my surprise, they have comfy sofas, larger tables, free ipads to use, free books, cool wall paintings and the best part of it, free sockets everywhere! So yep. Convinced by the ambiance, I ordered some of their cakes. The melted chocolate lava cake is the bomb! It's too good, too irresistible! The pesto pasta was my personal favorite, while my friends pick was the sardines pasta.

We went here to have some dessert after lunch. I ordered cheesecake and salted caramel frappe, while my guy had matcha. I loooooove it! We had the whole place to ourselves because it was the 23rd of Dec '16. So there arent much students. I think its great to study here if you're used in studying at cafes. They also have ipads on the table to play with.Ambiance.. good!!Service.. very good!! They were kind and welcoming

I love the design and the mood in this cafe. The food is quite good and lots of things to consider to. But the price is quite high for students but it's okay. At least the quality of the products are quite impressive too.

A great place for studying because it is open until 2AM. It has many floors and is spacious. The wifi is weak and rarely works. But the coffee is good, not sure about the pastries because I haven't tried it yet.

First time to eat here. Pasta and coffee is meh, price is expensive too. No service water. Aircon is not functioning too well. Nothing special here, sorry.

Newest branch of Cafe UK popped up along Dapitan about a few months ago. For us Dapitan kids, we finally thought we were gonna have a 24 hour coffee shop around. Sadly, that wasn't the case. Because of its location on the 3rd floor of a building that happens to only have one entrance, they usually close earlier (last I heard, it was 2 a.m.). Unlike the branch in P. Noval, this branch only has one floor for its operations. Same set-up, same lighting, with fewer couches and more wooden tables and chairs. Menu wise, it's still the same. Slightly overpriced food, taking advantage of the anticipated hunger of students and workers alike who need to finish their studies or projects. It's still also a bummer that they don't have service water and only have their personalized Php 40 bottled water. So really, if you're gonna camp out here, BYO water bottle. The coffees they offer are okay. They mostly gear towards the flavor syrup coffees as their selling point. To others, this can be good or satisfactory. But for me personally, I want a great cup of coffee and good beans please. I think I'm just too used to third wave coffee shops. Aside from that, I think I've spoiled myself since I use an Aeropress and freshly grind my own beans for my everyday morning coffee. Then again, not so nice coffee is still not so nice coffee. For today's visit (I've been here thrice as of now), I wanted to get some cake 'cause I've been craving. I've had their cheesecakes before at the P. Noval branch and I'd say it's good. So wanting to try something different, I chose this strawberry cake (I forgot the whole name of it). Curious as to what the content is on the inside, the people there described is as like red velvet and having some cheesecake bits inside. Excited by this description, I immediately bought it. To my dismay, I was most sincerely disappointed. The texture was not like red velvet and the cake itself was not moist; it was dry and crumbly. The supposed "cheesecake" bit inside was merely a thin layer of what I think is melted white chocolate which also covered the outside of the cake and made the little ball portion as topping. I just proceeded with 3 bites and gave the rest to my friend. Hay. I ended up buying chips in 7eleven to make myself feel better.

The last time I went to Cafe UK, the cakes were too sweet, and they didn't provide service water. The place looks nice, but the barista/employees were a little rude. I have only dined at Cafe UK that one time, and I never came back due to my experience.

So far, this is my favorite coffee shop in UST. The ambiance is nice and very conducive to studying. I have tried a variety of their food in the past (fries, marble potatoes, pasta, and cakes) and they are all up to my standards. It can get pricey, but it fits the atmosphere and the quality of food. I've always ordered their white mocha, and I was never disappointed. I guess the only problem with the place is that they do not support people who'd like to go alone, as some of the food items that I'd like to eat are priced and sized for a group. Also, the more comfortable chairs are only reserved for people of larger groups. Hopefully they can address that soon :)

Personally, I like the place and its ambiance. It's conducive for studying. Plus it has free wifi and outlets. Although others may not like it because it's dim.I like the beverages, it taste good and it's not that pricey. I haven't tried the food yet but from what I always see, all of it look promising.

Food serving is too slow. Disappointing pesto sandwich: no real pesto/just plain mayo, tastes weird with a hint of apples. Pasta is cold. Matcha frappe is too sweet. Music is too loud.
