Me and my 2 friends were eating at cafe romancon and we ordered a big cookie skillet, halfway while we were eating we found a strand of hair inside the cookie. When we complained to the waiter, the waiter told us to wait a minute without even saying sorry for that incident and just left us there hanging, we waited for 10minutes to see if the waiter will do anything but he didnt. So we called out the girl at the cashier and told her what happened and then after that they said that they will give us a new half cookie. This incident would have been OK if the waiter took action right after we complained to him!

Cafe Romancon isn't just Hotel Benilde's breakfast buffet area in the morning. It actually is an all-day dining restaurant that can be enjoyed by walk-in guests as well. Meanwhile, checked-in guests can enjoy their dishes inside the restaurant or in the comforts of their room by ordering via phone. The dishes I tried were the Cream of Mushroom, Kani Mango Salad, Penne Carbonara, Norwegian Salmon, and Sizzling Brownie.

With Manila being enveloped by grey clouds and drowned by the bustling sound of impatient cars stuck in traffic, one cannot deny the fact that summer's over. Just the mere difficulty of getting out of bed is enough proof. But there is one way to get me off my bed... that is to indulge in a staycation.

During our stay at Hotel Benilde, we dined here twice. For dinner where we tried ordering a la carte, then buffet for breakfast. Here are the dishes that we tried:-Gloucester Supreme. Grilled minced beef patties with mushroom gravy served with mixed vegetables and steamed rice. -Norwegian Salmon. Pan-fried salmon with creamy leek sauce, garden vegetables on mashed potato. -Salted Egg Fried Chicken. Golden fried chicken breast coated with salted egg batter served with crisp garden greens and french fries. -Seafood Linguine. Shrimp, calamari, mussels and fish sauteed in olive oil, garlic, onions and plum tomatoes on pasta. -Homemade Gelato. Tried the light chocolate chili flavor. It's still chocolate and not spicy. The kick of the spice comes as a subtle aftertaste.

I checked in at Hotel Benilde beside my school. My mom and I had breakfast there and their bacon was kind of tasteless. I had dinner there and their best-seller is the pasta with the red pepper sauce and grilled chicken- it was okay but it didn't suit my taste. I recommend their QUESADILLAS! They are good! And ask then to put two salsas instead of a salsa and a pesto sauce. Anyways, i heard that for mirienda they have buffets with different cuisines everyday and they said it was good, especially on Thursdays (they have pasta and pizza for buffet and you're the one who's gonna pick the ingredients and they will cook it for you).

It has always been a great dining experience when celebrating special occasions or just having a buffet meal here at Cafe Romançon!The Japanese buffet meal we had today was delightful especially to my wife who really loves and craves for Japanese cuisines.I would definitely always recommend this to friends for them to try out.

The roasted vegetable salad in this restaurant at St. Benilde Hotel had a delicious, sweetish salad dressing. The Salmon Two Ways--seared sesame crusted and grilled--was slightly dry and didn't seem like it was really cooked two different ways. However, the intriguing and colorful bed of mashed green peas as well as diced, smoked bacon and ponzu glaze were delightful accompaniments. The black forest cake was well executed in appearance and the taste was all right. I took a half point away for their not asking for our drinks order.

✔️Two-way salmon (grilled and sesame crusted)Salmon was a bit bland or lacks seasoning specially the grilled salmon (I would suggest a bigger portion of fish) but the ponzu sauce really hits the spot. 7/10✔️crispy pork loinPork loin cooked perfectly, the ponzu sauce cuts the fattiness of the pork loin but the squash puree(?) is VERY bland7/10✔️baby back ribsPERFECT.10/10

Dinner was quite remarkable. Price points were really affordable for the ambiance and portions were obviously given priority. Mia and I finished all we ordered from Cream of Butternut Squash (Php 130) paired with Marinated Grilled Vegetable Salad (Php 120) to Sizzling Brownies (Php 225) for our sweet ending. In between, we had tasty Seafood Linguine, a bowl filled with shrimps, calamari, mussels and fish sauteed in olive oil, garlic, and tomatoes and Friesan Express (Php 350), a hanging tender dish with side seasonal vegetables and fried potato wedges.   If you happen to be in the area of Taft Avenue, I highly recommend a meal here. It is a location that separates itself from the rest in the area, with prices intact and reasonable.

During our stay at Hotel Benilde, we decided to have dinner here at Cafe Romancon. While they were a few people in the cafe, it was quite an interesting evening as we ended up meeting an entrepreneur on the other table who was curious what we were doing with our cameras. We ordered the following items:Squash soup - creamy squash that was good with bread and a hint of pepper.Kani mango salad - contrasting texture and complimenting flavors this was one of my favorite dishes here.Norwegian Salmon - a nice generous cut of salmon for the price, however I would have liked it cooked medium rare. Their sauce and their mashed potatoes was very good. Fresian Express - Tenderloin with vegetables. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked.Overall, it was a nice experience dining here,Service was very good, and prices are affordable.
