This new cafe around Taft is such an eye candy! Cafe Laya managed to make their interior stunning despite its small location. I also love how they encourage everyone to unleash their passion and love for art. I haven't tried any of their food yet but I had their salted caramel latte when we went here. It was good because the caramel and bitter coffee goes together! My friend had his graham milkshake; it was also delicious. The serving for the latte is just right for its price! The milkshake was kinda pricey for P175 though. The staff were also nice and friendly. I would love to go back and try their food. Been hearing good reviews about it as well. See you soon, cafe Laya!

Perfect place for tambayan, artsy activities and relaxation. This artisanal cafe never fail to amaze me. They have good interior, good food and of course customer service. I love the idea that they support and campaign for Filipino arts. As for the food, I actually got to try almost all from their menu and they all taste great especially the pastas and creamy drinks.

May 25, 2016Ever since I saw the beautiful interiors (and a promising menu of milkshakes) of this place in photos, I've been wanting to go to this place. I finally visited it today with a friend!Once inside, the staff warmly greeted us which is definitely a plus! I would like to go sit and eat at their upper space but since the place is not that big, the space was already full and crowded. What we ordered: salted caramel milkshake, fried liempo. I would never finish a big serving of milkshake so me and my friend decided to share. We both agreed that it has the right amount of sweetness and we both enjoyed the shake. I was surprised with the liempo though. It's not your usual liempo, it is full of spices, sampaloc, maybe? That's what I heard from the staff. I didn't enjoy the liempo as much but it was still okay. Meal wise, I think you're better off somewhere else (their pasta meals are at 200 which are pretty expensive) but if you're there for their beverages, it's a good place. Will try their other stuff on the menu.

Although food on the menu is very limited, you won't find Pesto Bolognese, Yema Cheesecake, and other unique local food fusions anywhere else in Taft but here. You will not regret your order of Keso de Bola Carbonara for 200 pesos--this is a bit pricey for pasta, but if you order this with a bottle of Bayani Brew, you get a discount for Bayani Brew. The rice meals are usually served with garlic rice. You will love this place for its cozy, tastefully decorated interior. Wooden tables, solid-colored chairs and walls, art pieces everywhere, art materials, books, paintings, and a rounded staircase that leads to a tree house-like upper floor--you will definitely want to come back even if just to enjoy the ambiance.

i'm a sucker for cozy places. i like their loft, good for hanging out with friends. the place reminds me of dito bahay ng sining in marikina because of the artworks displayed on the walls, which looks like just a classroom art corner. the salted caramel milkshake i ordered was yummy. the crew are smiling and friendly.
