Second Review: October 2017As I've mentioned countless times before, my mom and I usually get our groceries from the SM near our home. This was the case during last Saturday, too. We went to SM at around lunch time, so we had lunch first. My mom is a big fan of Bonchon, so of course, we had our lunch there again. 😂 I was surprised when she told me she'll get the Crispy Fish Rice Box (Php 155), since she usually gets the Drumstick and Thigh Rice Box. To match her, I also decided to get something else other than my usual Crispy Shrimp Rice Box. 😁Presenting...✔ CRISPY MANDU MEAL (Php 155) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐This relatively new menu item from Bonchon has always been calling my attention since it was launched, but I only got to try it last Saturday. For Php 155, you get 4 pcs Crispy Mandu (Original or Spicy) on a bowl of steamed rice, a side order of soup (Bulgogi or Jjampong), and a drink of your choice.I got Original-flavored Mandu, and chose Jjampong for my soup. The Mandu is filled with an ample amount of ground chicken, enclosed in a crispy, soy-garlic glazed shell. The chicken filling was not dry at all, and tastes really good too! For me, it tastes good with or without the sweet-salty sauce that comes with each mandu order. 😋 The Jjampong served to me was not that hot though, but it was definitely spicy! 🔥 The noodles were a little undercooked. It was just so-so for me. Their Iced Tea was good, as usual.Would I come back for their Crispy Mandu? YES, DEFINITELY! 👌 But, I think it would be better to get just the Mandu with Rice (Php 75), since the soup was not that good anyway. It would help you save more than half the price vs. the meal! 😁#NewProductReview#EatDrinkSplurge-------First Review: April 2017My mom and I frequently eat at this branch of BonChon, since it's our go-to restaurant whenever she does not want to cook, or we just want a decent meal before we go to the supermarket. Our usual orders comprise of the Crispy Shrimp Ricebox for me, and the Drumstick and Thigh Ricebox for my mom, both with iced teas, and an additional order of Large fries on the side for mom.Since I'll be going back to work pretty soon, and we have to stock up on some supplies; we went to the grocery last week. (My mom hates to go anywhere alone. HAHA) Anyway, during that day, we swapped orders, and I chose to get just 1 piece of chicken instead of her usual two. We also chose to not order fries so we can try their BINGSU!LOL sorry for the long introduction, buuuut... I have finally tried out the Matcha Vanilla Bingsu (Php 79 as an add-on to the meal, Php 89 for a la carte orders) from BonChon! The verdict? ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for this dessert item! The matcha taste is very evident (which I like) as they used a generous amount of matcha powder for the flavoring. There are also red beans (which I usually don't like), that matched perfectly with the matcha flavor, and added a different texture to the bingsu. Speaking of texture, there were also clusters of white chocolate coated corn flakes, which was a nice and welcome addition to this wonderfully crafted dessert. 😍 They topped it with their house soft-serve, which is not too sweet, and has an ample vanilla taste to it that coats your tongue perfectly. It was also very creamy, and matched well with the rest of the toppings. A sprinkle of roasted rice powder then crowns this beauty. The supposed "star of the show", the snow ice, disappointed a bit though. I am not very well-versed with bingsus, but I found the snow ice to be less creamy both in taste and texture compared to how I'd like it. If you eat it on its own, the milk taste is very faint and the is little sweetness to it.If you don't want to mix it altogether (I don't like this either since it won't be pretty anymore), make sure to eat it digging down, instead of eating everything on top first, or else you will be left with a pile of milk ice that lacks in taste. Tip: If you're already quite full, you may opt to share the bingsu with a companion, as the serving is pretty big.For non-matcha lovers, don't fret! You may try out their Strawberry Cheesecake flavor, which also happens to be their best seller! 😄 My mom tried this, and she loved it! There were mini cheesecake cubes, as well as strawberry jam for its toppings. My mom had one complaint though, she said, "Why weren't there strawberry slices?" 😝 But moooom, lugi na sila if they do that! I think she forgot that this costs less than 100 pesos. 😁They also have the Chocolate Brownie flavor for the kids and kids-at-heart.Overall, it's an affordable dessert that you should try this summer; after all, binsgus were made to beat the heat!#MatchaLove 💚🍦

Didn't know KO DOG exists in Bonchon's Menu.Tried this one when I used their discounted vouchers for P99 in which you get to order 1 Ko Dog + an Iced Tea Drink. Still expensive but not bad. There are two toppings to choose from KIMCHI BACON and CHEESE POTATO. I ordered the 2nd one and I liked it. The sweetness and saltiness from the cheese made it all balanced.. The picnic potato bits on top were also a good topping. It is not filling but sulit for Miryenda!-This is one of the smallest Bonchon branches I know. They are located on the third floor beside the cinemas which is unusual since most restaurants and fast food chains are located on the lower ground floor of this mall. Despite the location, they are still being bombarded with loads of customers every day. I just ordered 1 Krazy Ko Dog Cheesy Potato and Bulgogi Noodle Soup for takeout, It took them around 30 min. to serve and I had to follow up twice for it. The store is jam-packed which is understandable that's why the service is hella slow. Waiting time for a take-out is OA. They can't accommodate the number of customers coming in. HANGRY na talaga ako at this point and when I ate my bulgogi soup, ang lamig na. Hay. Anyway, this would probably be the last time I'm going to eat at this branch. Parating slow service and nagpapanic ang staff sa dami ng tao. They have a lot of things to improve on.

Craved for dessert so we went to Bonchon because I’ve been wanting to try their bingsu for so long. I ordered the mango cheesecake and I gotta say that the consistency and texture is somehow similar with Hobing’s! Much cheaper din hehe. I also ordered the crispy crepe, with the ala mode option but since I ordered bingsu na din, just plain crispy crepe na lang which turned out na parang gigantic peach mango pie😂

Their chicken is now bigger in portion than before.. Everything still taste the same except for their kimchi.. Which is really disappointing.. Its like eating a coleslaw minus the mayo but with a bit of spicyness.. Their customer service improved as well.. Their staff are more attentive and smiling now.. Kudos to that! 😉
