The place is a bit small and hard to notice. The service was okay. I ordered the sinugbang manok, the taste is very similar to mang inasal 🙂 (this tastes a little better, I think but more or less) I'll be back but I will be ordering a different dish. 👍🏼

Bai is one of the most kept secrets of Malate. They serve great food for a good price. I’m a big fan of their buko shake so make sure you order that one, it tastes like the sweet buko salad that Filipinos enjoy. We ordered chicken skin which is absolutely delicious! It’s paired with spiced vinegar that made the experience even better. We also ordered their bai chicken or their staple chicken, it tastes so much sweeter than your regular bbq chicken and way meatier. Don’t forget to ask them for their marinade sauce as your dipping sauce because it tastes sooo good! Would totally come back.

We ordered the following-The sinugba pecho chicken - not your usual inasal because this is on the sweet side. It's comparable to Aida's chicken.Calamares - Crunchy but we felt it lacked a bit of flavor. The batter tasted slightly bland.Buko shake - excellent summer cooler!Mango shake - I'd say their shakes are like sherbet. They're thick but light. You'd understand once you try them.Grilled isol - less than a 100 pesos but I got 2 sticks 4 on each, saan ka pa?! It's also marinated in the same sweet/savory sauce as the pecho. I asked for it to be well done and they got it just right.Fried Isol - isol coated in batter then fried. Yummy!Chicken skin - not your ordinary thin chicken skin. Theirs is meaty and satisfying.Spicy kangkong sa gata - generous gata sauce to mix with our rice. The kangkong was not overcooked, it was still vibrant green and crunchy. I hate wilted kangkongGarlic Rice - we didn't get the sinugba with unlimited rice because that only comes with plain rice. For 100 pesos you can get a plate of sinangag that's good for 2 since there's 3 of us we ordered 2 plates. It was more than enough. The restaurant is a bit hard to find if you're not familiar with the area. The place is small but very clean. Another plus is the strong air conditioning. I'd also like to give special mention to their condiments-The Vinegar!!! I could drink this out of the dipping bowl. It's infused with garlic, onions, chili and some other spices. Perfect for all the dishes they serve. The Chicken Oil - they put sili in with the oil so it has a slight kick. I think I saw some garlic in it too.Everything we ordered totalled to 1300 and we had leftovers to take home with us. But then again we were on a feasting mode. We will definitely come back to Bai and try the other dishes in their menu.

Bai has a great offering of Dumaguete-styled dishes. One of the bestsellers is the pochero. It is definitely a must try. The ginataang kangkong packs a lot of flavor. Also, their take on the fish kilawin is also fantastic. The service is acceptable but serving size is quite small.

This is probably on of our staple restos as a lasallian. Me and my friends enjoy this since 2015. We love their sinigang because it’s soooo asim! Their chicken + chicken oil + rice is so so good as well. This is one resto i will surely miss when I graduate ❤️
