The Assad Cafe provides enjoyable, unpretentious Indian food at reasonable prices in a very spartan restaurant. It's not at all the area to impress a romantic date or company associate -- unless they exactly like good food. Most taxi drivers won't know how to come across thisrestaurant. Just inform them it's across from "Unilever" on U.N. Avenue and they're going to know where you can go. The Cafe will be in sort of strip mall which also contains the Assad "Small Mart" Indian supermarket which is among the best areas in Manila to get Indian groceries. In addition they sell fresh toned breads, samosas and baked items at affordable prices. We'd Mutton Keema (P177) and Paneer Matar (P134) at the Cafe. Both were excellent. Service was helpful and foods cooked to order.

Assad serves excellent Indian Food for an extremely very affordable price, in comparison to Kashmir's which fees thrice of their cost. Their Paneer Mattar is crucial try, and in addition their Mutton Korma and Poultry Masala. Their freshly prepared naans, chapatis, and paratha are usually awesome to.Apart from the delicious meals, their Lassi or even Yogurt Drink ought to be tried also. If you are exploring Indian Cuisine, being an amateur or very first timer, this surely may be the place to go.

Located quite a distance up US Avenue, Assad's appears a little bleak from the exterior but provides at an extremely reasonable price very delicious Indian dishes. Spiciness your decision, although my English palate needed "very spicy" also it might have been a bithotter reality to tell. Lovely new nan to accompany seafood, vegetarian or poultry or lamb meals. Assad's is not a location of enjoyment and the environs won't impress. However the food and the costs certainly will.

Three folks called in Assad's yesterday for lunch time. It had been my first period to consume there but had purchased many groceries during the past from their store nearby. We were served by way of a friendly guy who was simply more than pleased to explain whatsome of the laundry on the Indian menu were. We ordered Mutton Biryani, Kashmiri Seafood Curry and Mixed Veggie Curry as well as three chapatis and 3 mango lassi's. It had been all really, excellent. The basmati rice in the biryani produced a wonderful differ from the rice usually available in the Philippines. Big chunks of tender mutton (or possibly kambing?) too. Battered bits of seafood fillet in a very tasty sauce alongside chunks of pineapple. Cauliflower, chick peas and natural peas in a sauce that has been the spiciest of the three. None were very hot but all had been brimming with complete spice flavours. Excellent chapatis and the mango lassi's were an ideal drink to opt for all this. Php725. We nearly finished it all. Assad's is really a cafe, an unassuming bistro and doesn't pretend to end up being other things. Let's say it isn't the place for an enchanting dinner! They have a significant big menu of Indian meals and I'll certainly return and try a few of their other food 1 day. I actually didn't ask but I assume they would do eliminate. No alcohol. Open up 11am-7pm Monday to Saturday.

Been here final Wednesday with my friends...it's situated in Manila (rode the tricycle from UN AVENUE station) it is a basic canteen..the crew were really friendly around..and we were the only real customer that point..around 4 pm. I was amazed by the reasonable price...17 -18 pesos for chappatis and naans..and 150-250 best for 2- 3 people with moderate appetite because of their curry dishes, however, i'm unhappy with the taste..we learned that the make is really a Filipino who learned Indian cuisine..do not get me wrong..we was thus wowed by his skill but given the truth that I am in India and food preparation Indian dishes myself, we rate the meals 3/5 for authenticity, 3/5 for the flavor, 2/5 for foods presentation, and 5/5 for affordability. For rookies, it's ok to use their dishes but also for peculiar Indian tastebuds like me...i'd opt to make my own then
