[2019-01-03] This is one of the stops in the ‘Taft Eats’ vlog of a website friend. I met up with him after going to my bank branch to pickup my ARC card. Though there are tables outside, it is still better to eat inside since it is literally a side walk where a lot of things are beyond the control of the proprietor (like the smells, noises, etc.) We opted to eat ouside due to the dimly lit interior of the restaurant which can make taking a video more difficult.

8065 Bagnet is located beside Providence Tower near De La Salle College of St. Benilde. They serve different Bagnet dishes. I ate here once and though it’s affordable, it failed to make me feel good after. :( But they’re dishes are alright.

If you need to get your bagnet fix in the Taft area, 8065 Bagnet is just the place for you. Its bohemian atmosphere (read: ghetto) just tells you that you don't need a ambience to get some bad cholesterol in your system. You can't go wrong with the budget meal (with rice and soup) at Php125 (original bagnet) and Php130 (flavored bagnet). If you are tired of getting the original, I'd recommend you try either the dinuguan or kare-kare. Some of my friends swear by the Bagnet binagoongan and sinigang. The bagnet has cripsy skin, melt in your mouth fat component and tender meat part.Parking is always a problem. Hello it's Taft area, no!And seating is a little cramped. But the service staff is fast and quick.

MY FIRST BAGNET EVER! It was dressed with Bicol Express sauce (spicy gata). In terms of food quality, 4 stars. Pork skin was a real crunch, but the meat was dry. I don't know if that's how bagnets should be but I would have liked my pork meat tender and juicy. In terms of food service, 3 stars. The crew was generally friendly. But my roomie and I happened to be seated in front of the kitchen area where two men were chopping bagnets without any hairnet on. Lol. It was a turn-off thing. There was a signage saying, "Warning: Hairnet Area" but why were they "naked"?In terms of the ambiance, 3 stars. It's not a place where I would like to stay long after eating. The interior was dim. Perhaps it was their preferred design but I preferred to have some more lights to brighten our dining table. In terms of the value for money, 3 stars. We paid 300Php for a plate of bagnet for 2 (210Php) and 3 cups of rice (90Php). The taste was very straightforward (not exciting) and the total dining experience was lacking with something. I have a feeling that the restaurant can give so much more than what we experienced for a 300Php dinner.Final comments: Hygiene, guys. Proper get-up (like wearing hairnet) is a form of showing respect to the goddess of food. The restaurant has a lot of potential. I hope they elevate their game anytime soon.

I've been always here and just now, the good for two is good for 1 people instead of two. The food is good but the quantity of food is not..

Good service starts with a great smile in your face when greeting your customers and this restaurant definitely got this. The Kare-kare Bagnet is good, in terms of the serving size and the taste.

Ive always wanted to visit this place but they’re always packed whenever I try to dine, so I finally called their hotline for a delivery. I had their bagnet sisig and it’s probably the best tasting sisig I’ve ever had!! It’s priced at 205 and they have a delivery charge of 50 and additional 5 php for the take out container. This order is good for sharing, 2-3 people. Will definitely order again!

Love their sinigang! Which a single serving of rice will not be enough hehe. But other dishes are good also. I swear. Definitely price-worthy meals!

Inconsistent with the recipe of their sisig bagnet. Also, their kare-kare bagnet is good but I'm not sure why it has carrots and cabbage in it. I mean, I'm okay with eating these vegetables but why? Their soup tasted like I was drinking fat.The service was really poor before, I'm not sure if they changed the staff or the rules already. I asked to have my food to go, and the waitress placed it in a plastic bag all mixed up. She didn't bother asking if it's alright to just place it in a bag since their paper box wasn't available.

Totally disappointed during our visit a couple weeks ago. I thought bagnet was supposed to be crispy but they served us some soggy piece of shit. Sisig also tasted like mayonnaise more than meat this time, no crunch of the bagnet whatsoever. Tv was loud we were shouting just to have a conversation. Crew was very unattentive cause they're too busy watching tv.
