They offer great food and in big servings! Love their pastas and the Surf & Turf. They also sing for birthday celebrants here (since we went here on my birthday -.-)

Hmm.. Where do I start...I know the Megamall Atrium branch is fairly new. But then, the space could use a make over as they didn't seem to make good use of the whole area. We dined here on a Saturday evening so as people came in, we were knocking each other's chairs trying to squeeze in. It got uncomfortable. Let me put it that way. The food was... "Meh"... Not as good as I thought it would be. The flat breads weren't as crisp on the bottom as they are supposed to be. And the steaks were rather tough. Even the simplest thing to cook - boiled mini potatoes - were inconsistent. One platter had perfectly boiled potatoes and the other platter had gamy potatoes. Odd. The best thing I had here was the cheese flatbread. That one didn't disappoint. So for now, 3.5.

We had a simple dinner at Uncle Cheffy's Megamall. This place was formerly known as Chef's Quarter but rebranded to their more popular resto name. We shared a Seafood Lovers Panizza and Uncle Cheffy Salad. The toppings on the panizza were quite small though generous. I have always loved panizza, but I wished we ordered a different flavor. The Uncle Cheffy Salad isn't really a healthy choice with a huge helping of crispy pork belly on top. I love it. The service was excellent, but the place badly needs a makeover.

Here's the thing, 10% service charge is nothing for me if the service is actually great. And, I'm telling you, I would've raised their service charge to a higher percentage if I could!Uncle Cheffy was "hypnotizing" me with posters of their seafood paella and carbonara while the hubby was checking out Amici's menu! Hahaha! Ended up telling him that I wanted to eat at Uncle Cheffy; it was both our first time there. We wanted to be seated by the window, but there were still plates and glasses from the previous customers. The moment we told them we wanted to be seated there, they immediately cleaned it up for us. The waitress answered our inquiries about the food serving/s with mastery (which is quite impressing considering waiters and waitresses can't really give you an answer to your question). We ordered their Seafood Pizza (Medium -- 8 slices) and Carbonara (Family -- good for 3 people). The order came in about 10-15 mins. You can still see the steam when they served the pasta! At first, we were quite disappointed with the serving size because we usually eat food meant for four people! And, we thought that it wouldn't satiate our hunger. But, lo and behold, it felt like we ordered something meant for 4-5 people! The Carbonara was rich and flavorful! Lots of mushrooms ans bacon! It was really filling! So, I guess paying 470Php for it is worth it. You get al dente pasta, rich sauce with bacon bits and mushrooms, and two slices of garlic bread! Even the garlic bread was tasty! It was crunchy and you can really taste the garlic-y goodness. Haha. The Seafood Pizza didn't disappoint aside from the fact that we thought it wasn't thin crust pizza. The crust was really super thin! And you can see the tiny portions of seafood -- shrimp, mussels -- and on the side: lettuce, alfalfa sprouts, and tomatoes. The freshness of the pizza actually complemented the richness of the carbonara! The pizza wasn't filling, like, one person can finish that in one seating, but... I'd definitely pay for 250-something Php to have that again. :)Bottomless freshly brewed oolong iced tea at 95Php? Not bad! I love it! :DService was great and quick; food's great; interior's nice (and the crowd!). We'll definitely go back soon! ;)
