When I was younger, I love to play “tea party” with my toys as my guests. (Go blame my sister who was born 6 years later!) I do recall though that I had fun and served real food and air as tea. I guess that pretty much explains why I was a ball when I was a toddler. I never liked real tea though growing up as I found it too Chinese and I hated Chinese food when I was young. (Note: past tense.) But as I transformed to become a website I am now, I got so addicted to tea that every time a tea place opens up or when I pass by TWG, my heart skips a beat. Yes, I have a weird attachment to food.Summer is here and it’s sizzling hot outside! Yet, all I want last Saturday was hot tea. So off I go to TWG to try another brunch set.

Perfect place to catch up with your friends or family. Their extensive list of tea is the expertise of their staff. I have inquired a handful of tea (its infusion, caffeine content, color, etc) and they were able to answer all of my queries. It's not just a place to have tea but to fill your tummy with their delicious sweets from their patisseries (perfect for tea time). And contrary to the belief of most people, it's not very expensive considering the taste, as well as the coziness and comfort that the place offers. Two thumbs up!!

Honestly, it's quite intimidating to enter the tea shop since looks so luxurious with its golden interiors and exteriors. However, if you really want to taste what an authentic tea is, you won't regret paying a higher amount. Moreover, their pastry is mouthwatering. I opted not to give a perfect 5 for my rating because they forgot to serve the macaroons that we ordered, though they included it in our bill.

TWG Tea Salon and Boutique is one of the coziest tea place around Metro Manila. With elegant and beautiful interior. Looks expensive. When we visited the place for dinner we tried the following:🍵 Nicoise Salad for Php455.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5“Southern French inspired salad with tuna confit and perfectly seared tiger prawns infused with matcha green tea, accompanied by a mix of greens, garnished with soft quail eggs, baby potatoes, edamame, sweet bell pepper and olives tossed in a honey lemon dressing.”🍵Seared Matcha Salmon for Php650.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5“Seared salmon fillet accompanied by a medley of summer vegetables drizzled with a balsamic vinegar caramel and Matcha oil.”🍵Neapolitan Beef for Php625.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5“Braised beef in Neapolitan sauce, infused with Comptoir des Indes Tea, accompanied with buttered asparagus and baby potatoes.”The salad was a sure win! It was so good and appetizing. My least favorite will be the salmon ‘coz they served it dry and I can’t find the matcha flavor. For desserts, we had some macarons paired with Moroccan mint tea.#ilovetoeatph 😃❤️

We love TWG Tea mostly for its teas and macarons. This time, we were psyched to try their crepes! :)We shared a plate of Ocean Crepe (PhP 300), which was served with a duo of fresh smoked salmon and creamy leeks tossed in rich cream flavored with Ocean Voyage Tea. Every bite was dreamy and glorious. I could almost taste the ocean. It was slightly salt and appropriately savory. The hearty crepe was paper thin, soft, buttery and delicate in texture. For dessert, we had the 1837 Crepe (PhP 250) which was made with homemade berry marmalade, a blend of raspberry, blueberry, cherry and blackcurrant infused with 1837 Black Tea. It was sweet but not too sweet, tasty, and filling. Both were mouthwatering and the really unique thing about these crepes is that they have just a hint of the tea flavor. They're perfectly light and spongy, luscious, with a very nice aroma. Overall, it was a great lunch with my sister. We'll thoroughly enjoyed the food and the elegant ambiance.
