Service is good! This is what I expect of a japanese restaurant. Food is delicious as well since they explain the differences. Only drawback is the comfort room and wash area. A bit grungy looking but still clean. Ordered the Jo Teishoku and Tempura Ramen.

Can you even pinpoint where the crab claw is? Its so tiny that it gets lost in a bowl. I think the bowl should be renamed tinybit crabmeat tendon. The sukiyaki is too salty. But the udon was the right texture and beef was quite hard to chew. The waitress was accomodating and attentive to give refills of water and their yummy tea. The place is clean but the quality of food should be given attention.

I was expecting a little from Tenya however they were a letdown. The tempura tasted good but they were a little smaller from other prawns I had and a little bit pricey. The chicken karaage, however, was the only winner for me.

Thank you @nonfoodienetwork Brie K for introducing me to @tenyaph 👍🏻 It's my first time here and happy to have tried out this restaurant. I'll definitely go back! Tenya is the most successful tendon restaurant chain in Japan. It also operates in indonesia, Thailand and of course Philippines. Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It's their Tori Festival and I ordered their Chicken Teriyaki Jyu. The chicken fillet is soft & juicy and I'm soooo in love with Tenya's Teriyaki Sauce. It also comes with a soup 🤤 345 pesosI also tried their Cold Brew. It's similar to UCC's Kori Kohi. Iced coffee cubes served with milk. It's bigger but the iced coffee cubes does not melt fast. It was okay. For dessert, I ordered their Ningyo Yaki box priced P165. You have 2 options either dulce de leche or nutella but you can also order both flavors in one box (assorted). The baked japanese cake was a bit dry and thick for me but the dulce/ nutella were really nice. Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Affordable and you'll leave full and satisfiedAmbiance and Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Really nice place. Staff are accomodating and friendly. No long waiting time. I highly recommend you try this restaurant out

I am excited to try it because I heard so much about this Restaurant. So I encourage my friends to dine here. So we ordered different dishes:1. Ebi Ten Toji Jyu Php335 (Ebi tempura simmered in onion, soba tsuyu sauce and egg) - We loved it. I am a fan of Katsudon so almost the same as Katsudon. I am giving 3 stars for this dish.2. Gyo! Ramen Php325 (Tonkotsu ramen topped with ground pork paired with Gyoza) - its just OK. A typical noodles with broth. Nothing special. For the price I think there's a lot of delicious ramen compared to their ramen maybe the difference it comes with Gyoza na super cute. hahaha! So I am giving 2 stars. Pweds na!3. Kappa Maki Soba/Udon Php345 (Kani Maki with a choice of Soba/Udon) - So I ordered for this one. I was quite disappointed. I did not enjoyed it especially the Udon. It's not what I am expecting. :( Pala expect kasi so ayan! Hahaha! For the price I think it's expensive. The Maki is not that promising. It's just a simple Maki nothing special on it. So I am just giving 1 star kasi Maki lang ang nakain ko. Huhuhu!4. Chicken Karaage Php185 (5 pcs. of fried chicken japanese style) - So upon serving the Chicken Karaage it seems na overcooked. So we tasted it and it's still hilaw in the inside. So I called the attention of the Server told her na it seems you overcooked the Chicken Karaage but then upon eating it still hilaw pa. So she get the plate with Chicken Karaage. After 5 minutes she is serving the same Chicken Karaage. And I am like.... Whaaaaat?? They just fried it again. Kawawa naman ung Chicken Karaage color karton na (as in dark brown). Papunta na sa sunog besh! My friend told me na hayaan nalang because it will just ruin our dinner. But then I need to do my review. This is my first time here in your restaurant and it really disappoint me. The service is so sub standard. I felt sad for you guys.  I came from Restaurant industry and this is not the proper approach on your customer. The server did not even apologize for serving the overcooked Chicken Karaage. Inilaban pa talaga besh kahit nanlalaban na ung Chicken. :( And the Manager did not even asked how's our dining experience. Poor service indeed!

I like it coz they now have more varieties, the food is good...and hindi tinitipid ang ulam😊👍👏Lately lang nagkaron sila ng teriyaki chicken, medyo maalat...

Hmmm 🤔 It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. I had high expectations because it’s advertised as Japan’s best tendon and also because I’ve seen Tenya in Japan so it’s gotta be legit.I guess I got disappointed because I expected too much otherwise it’s actually a decent meal naman especially if you’re hungry hehe and the price is reasonable.Although tendon is really served with sauce poured over already, maybe next time I’ll request if I could have it on the side instead (that’s just my preference) especially since their sauce is quite intense. My search for the best tempura continues...

Tenya serves traditional Edo style tempura, it's not supposed to be crispy because the sauce is added to the tempura when served. What you get here is the same as in Tokyo. Go for anything on the menu. But I recommend to pair your tempura with their soba noodle soup.

Tenya Tempura Tendon specializes in tempura over rice.Their set menu are reasonably priced. Their Tempura has a light batter without being oily.I usually get the Classic Tempura set with cold soba.

We’re so happy when we saw this shop already here in Manila. This initiates a comparison of Tenya restaurants here and the one in Tokyo. 😂 We’re also surprised that the taste of the noodles (soba and udon) were the same as the one in Tokyo. But unfortunately the tempura wasn’t. I guess we expected too much. The one in Tokyo was served with the sauce already drizzled on top of the tempura rice bowl. Their signature dontare sauce was not the same taste as the one we tried in Japan yet the noodles was still good. We’re giving this rate because it is fairly priced for so much food we had (it was dinner time when we went here) and we still feel so full the next morning. 🤣
