Taco Vengo is one of our go-to places whenever we're craving for jam-packed burritos. They use good quality pita wrap which is both thin and flavorful, as if it's dipped in sauce before being served. Their rice is always cooked well and their flavors are very unique. The last time we went to this restaurant, we ordered 3 burritos namely the Honey Soy Chicken, the Braised Pork Belly, and the BBQ Beef Belly.Honey Soy Chicken Burrito - 4.5/5Price: 218 PhpWe enjoyed this dish because of the burst of flavors in each bite. It had a little bit of spice because of the kimchi and everything really mixed well together. Our only issue was how the egg was spread unevenly. One half of the burrito had too much egg, while the other half barely had any. But overall, it was really good.Braised Pork Belly Burrito - 4.5/5Price: 268 PhpThis dish was interesting because of its sweet nutty flavor. It gives off a kind of a fresh lumpia with peanut sauce type of taste which we found to be very enjoyable. It mixed well with the huge but thinly cut pork belly.BBQ Beef Belly Burrito - 3/5Price: 268 PhpCompared to the other burritos that we ate, this was the least unique. It had the expected bbq sauce flavor and the meat was cooked well, but it wasn't that special in our opinion. Another issue that we had with the dish was that the pita wrap of the burrito was breaking when it was served to us and even stuck to the foil. But even if we wont be having this burrito anytime soon, flavor wise, if you're a BBQ-lover, this might be a great choice for you.Even if the food is always great, what we usually find difficult in this particular branch is calling the attention of the waiters and waitresses. This is because they all seem to like staying in one spot, which oddly enough is away from where the guests sit. Hope they'll be able to do something about this soon.Overall, we enjoyed the food and are sure that we'll be visiting them again soon. This place serves great tacos...well not your usual palm sized crunchy ones..they actually come in small four-inch diameter open faced soft shell ones..Service was efficient and friendly, the place has interesting nooks and areas clad in tiles and wood. Clean and minimalistic. The Pork Cheek Confit was awesome in my opinion, chicharon (had crunchy and soft bits) and sour cream with a wedge of lime. The tempura shrimp (with slaw) was also good doused it with a bit of their chili sauce.Their House Blend tea was just okay.Next visit ill probably have their burritos or quesadilla.awesome awesome so far. When can they have this down south??

A visit on their first branch in Kapitolyo was not as pleasant as expected. This was because foodies recommended it and it didn't go so well. Yesterday, while dining alone, it was the same unsatisfying meal. This branch in Megamall is beside Wendy's. Hard to spot despite a big logo on their frontage. They offer take out on the go and a few seats for dining in. New age Mexican as they mixed with other cuisines on their signature meals. Soy Chicken Rice was disappointing. Tasted bitter with too much grilled marks and its meat was so lean with too much chicken skin fat too. It was like eating slightly burned tocino (Filipino cured pork). The Pork Cheek for Php 115 was fairly prized on size but waste of money once you take a bite. The meat had no taste and the light sour cream on top of it had more presence. Also had some bland salsa on the side. A cold side of tomatoes without the love.

For the love of tacos! (Sorry not a fan of burritos) We head over and try Taco Vengo at their Megamall branch, since it was only now that we found out there was an existing Kapitolyo branch, and so the "ads/banners" we saw while strolling at the mall caught our tummies errRR... I meant attention. 😬First timers, we were, pretty excited as we went in. There were only few diners, around two tables were filled during our visit. So yeah we get to choose our spot.📌 Pork Cheek Confit Taco Crunchy. Juicy. It just hits the spot. Who can resist this savory meat, oh and yeah a bit of crackling chicharon 🤤 📌 Soy Chicken Taco (okay not sure if that's what we ordered, or crispy chicken taco whatever with Perfect Girl sauce)Love it! This one with a slight spicy kick. *Yes we did get extra tortilla as we split the serving for two. 📌 Cheese Quesadillas Oooohhhheeeeyyy ghooooeyyyy! Cheeeeeesyyy! 🧀 Dig in while it's hot. Unless you hate cheese, don't go for this one. 📌 Corn EsquitesSmoky. Sweet. Salty. Creamy goodness. This bowl of corn kernels is bursting with flavors. Good as appetizer or sides whatever suits you.'Twas all good, affordable price, couldn't say much on the service since there were only few diners so we had a fair share of good service. We will definitely go back to try their other taco selections and rice bowls. 🌮 🌮🌮

If you want to try something different... try this one! It's a lowkey resto not bunch of people go here probably because it's relatively new. Also has that chill vibe, I love their playlist. Pricey but a good one.

Some might say that I am pretty adventurous when it comes to different cuisines.  From Indian to Penarakan down to Middle Eastern.   There is one that i am not so fond of - Mexican.  Sure,  i like tacos... I mean who doesn't like a taco??? This is probably the only Mexican-ish dish that i can deal with.  I decided to quit being a sissy and explore uncharted territory.  I now know the dish called Quesadilla.  Cheese Quesadilla (Php 195).  I am not sure how many types of cheese they used but man,  this is nothing but spectacular.  I taste a lil bleu and sharp cheddar.   I think i just died and went to cheese heaven. Honey Soy Chicken Taco (Php 115).   This is the only taco that left an impression (not in a good way).   The chicken has a bitter x sour taste that didnt sit well with my tastebuds.   This is how honey x soy should taste like. Taco is meh,  Quesadilla is fantastic.  I am definitely coming back for the dem cheesy quesadillas!

I wanted some tacos for merienda and it was a bonus that Taco Vengo had a Taco' Clock promo from 2-4pm everyday in all branches. So I availed of their Buy 2 Take 1 promo. The cheapest dish is free. I ordered 3 out of their 4 bestsellers. I skipped the Honey Soy Chicken because it was spicy.Pork Cheek Confit - basically a sisig taco crowned with chicharon. It was crunchy and flavorful. I loved the combination of ingredients.Tempura Shrimp - i enjoyed it the first time and I liked it on this round as well. The crunchy shrimps, sauce and veggies were all good together. Loved the texture too.BBQ Beef Belly - Flavors were strong and had a hint of spiciness. The meat was very soft. The tacos are loaded with ingredients and you might want to use utensils. I opted to use my hands and just ignored the mess. Each one had a unique flavor that will make you want to try everything. The only hiccup from this visit was I was billed for a drink that I didn't order and to think the server clarified this after heading into the kitchen.

I've heard a lot of good things about Taco Vengo, so I was excited to be having an early lunch at its SM Megamall outlet. I asked the server for its bestsellers, and ordered the BLT Taco and the BBQ Beef Belly Taco.BLT stands for bacon, lengua, and tripe. I don't mind the slight chewiness of the lengua and tripe. But I think they forgot to put the bacon in my taco. There's not a hint of a taste of bacon. On the menu, it says that the BLT Taco has bacon jam in it. Mine had a horseradish dressing. I suggest the menu be revised accordingly, and to go easy on the horseradish. The BBQ Beef Belly Taco, on the other hand, was delicious. The meat was slightly more fatty than I'd like, but it was very satisfying. The contrast between the richness of the barbecue sauce and the sharpness of the pickled onions was perfect.Portion size might be an issue if you're looking for a hefty lunch. Service was adequate. Very tight on space.

Tiny taco packs a flavorful punch alright, but was it worth a hundred bucks? No. The pork cheek confit was a surprising sisig twist to tacos but I wish there was more of it. The honey soy chicken rice bowl was flavorful, too, but not worth its price.

An unexpected mix of flavors from this one! But definitely something good enough to make you want more. Loved the tacos (of course) and the burrito. The serving size seems small at first but it ends up filling you up after finishing the meals. Great mid-afternoon bite.
