Delicious food, fast service, but please have the courtesy and initiative to offer water instead of the customers askIng for it. That is all. Thanks!

We celebrated my Mom’s 50th birthday here and we had a customized set menu for our group. It was my first time to experience a lauriat and I was very pleased that we chose this restaurant for the celebration. We reserved a private area for the celebration which also added to the quality of the experience. The servers were very attentive to our needs and the dishes were served consequently with the right timing. It was pricey in my opinion but the taste and quality of the food was worth the splurge. One of the best Chinese restaurants along with Century Restaurant.

One of my family's favorite restaurants. The food and the service is excellent. The dimsum are really big: The pork siomai, the hakaw, the fried lobster dumplings. The Hot and Sour soup is good. For the main course we ordered the usual Sweet and Sour Pork, Fish Fillet with garlic, Beef Tenderloin, Beef with Broccoli, Peking Duck and Kung Pao Chicken. The food presentation is nice but the servings are smaller than before.

We celebrated my mother’s 92nd birthday here. What can i say? The appetizer “fried soft shell crab with pork floss” was to die for. Bday noodles were “clean”: meaning not oily but really tasty! Steamed fish was excellent! So were the veggies, minced duck and beef steak! A unique chilled lemongrass jelly w sherbet for dessert - i could only marvel at.... so light for a full stomach! And they allowed us to bring a cake! The best Chinese restaurant for me... so far!

Celebrated a birthday here and was very disappointed. The chicken dish that we ordered was bloody and raw. We had it returned and the second time around, the chicken was still bloody!!! I attached a photo of the one from the second serving. This is unforgivable for a restaurant of this caliber. The chicken dish was inedible but my friend was too polite to have it sent back again. Other than that most of the viands had the same flavor profile. The saving grace is stunning dimsum. Ambiance was a bit too busy and crowded but I would blame the Christmas rush for that.

Expected a bit more of a Chinese dining experience here and was really excited to try their food but it was a bit of a let down. The usual menu options tastes usually good- the rice, the peking duck (thought it could use more meat), lemon chicken, noodles were okay. The dimsum was good though. But nothing really extraordinary.

Always the best place to spend and celebrate birthdays, graduations, promotions and other special events. Our family contantly dined in this place since I was young.

Auntie Nancy of summer palace never fails to recommend the best dishes. It’s really hard to pick my favorite dish because i loved everything. 😋This restaurant is perfect for family gatherings.

It's a 3 because of the poor, poor service. You'd expect that from an old-time hotel restaurant like the Summer Palace, they would at least make your bill worth the stay. You know you're not paying for the proce of the food but the ambiance and the service. And the service was bad:1. The wait for the food took more than 40minutes. And they didn't serve it all at once. The rice had gone cold before our lobster got served. And there was no advise about how long the wait would take.2. The wait staff and front of house staff argued and bickered in front of the customers like they were on break. It didn't feel like I was dining at a restaurant inside Shangri-la Hotel.3. The preferential treatment was too obvious. I get that regular clients get special treatment - but not to the point of ignoring the rest of the tables. The food is okay - there are some dishes that felt like you could get from any other Chinese restaurant but they still have specialties that are worth the price. Another notable thing for me is having my boyfriend appreciate duck, finally. We've had duck from several places, even from HK and Taiwan and he just didnt like it. Sa Summer Palace lang pala niya magugustuhan ang Roast Duck.

While food quality is consistently good, the service unexpectedly falls short. Many servers don’t understand the menu. Always had to call them over to explain what to do, what was needed, and follow-up on delayed and missing orders.
