Luckily I was able to attend this website event at Splice Modern Feast in Mandaluyong City. The restaurant is located in the heart of Greenfield district and boast a fusion of Filipino and European cuisine. The interior is really very cozy and the restaurant is spacious indeed that it can host parties and event. Take a look at my some of my personal notes with Splice Restaurant.

Looking for a place to enjoy dishes with Filipino twist? Splice, located at Greenfield district in EDSA-Shaw is another must-try restaurant to visit for us websites! I’ve been part of an awesome website meet-up with fellow websites and it is indeed a very sumptuous experience. (Long post ahead).**FOOD - A perfect dish to try to start of the whole Splice experience is their spicy appetizer, the Sriracha Butter Wings. It maybe spicy but you can taste the flavor up to the bones. It’s really good! Another must-try is their Pesto Parmesan Fish and Chips. The battered dory fish and also its side dish (the chips) are very crispy and the sauce is indeed a perfect partner for the fish. If you are looking for something unique to try, be sure to order their doughnut burgers. One of them is their Homer Doughnut Burger with very thick beef patty, bacon, Japanese mayo and instead of the regular burger bun, they used their very own version of glazed doughnut. Surprisingly, everything about the whole thing blended well and became my favorite! I just wish they have more Japanese mayo in it but of course, it depends on the website (because I like the Japanese mayo more rather than the ordinary one in the market). :)They also have pasta dishes, but what captured my attention is their Dangit and Chicken Skin Carbonara. I first thought after hearing its name, it will be “too salty for sure.” But it’s actually not! The flavors blended well together and the sauce is very creamy plus the cheese. If you are a fan of seafood dishes then ordering their Tequila Mussels Linguine is also a must-try.Looking for a meal with rice? Splice has affordable and large serving of entrees like their 8 hour pork belly dishes. You won’t be needed knife and force (hahaha) just to cut those meat as it is very soft and juicy at the same time. Perfect to partner it with their rice (Italian rice, buko pandan rice or dirty rice). It wouldn't be complete without their trying their dessert. Be sure to try their Classic Smores, it’s not too sweet (which is perfect for me) and perfect to eat while it’s still hot. **PRICE – Price wise, the servings of food is perfect for sharing and the prices are very reasonable.**VERDICT – It will be the place that I’ll surely add on my “places-to-visit more often,” especially during rush hours at night (and especially I am most of the time around Shaw Boulevard). Because aside from having a normal dinner, Splice is very lively at night as they have acoustic bands and other performers to spice up the night. Two thumbs up! :)

I have been hearing about Splice from my website friends for a while now, and last weekend, I finally visited the resto bar. Splice Events Place & Restaurant. Splice is located at The Portal in the Greenfield District in Mandaluyong. This is the area behind EDSA Central. For those who have not been there in a long time, the place has been fixed up and is now home to condominiums. It’s all nice and clean now, and relatively safer.

11/28/2015 - My 24th Birthday. The band there sang me a song, replaced the lyric with my name haha! here's a video: instagram.com/p/_OGX_dG0rh/?taken-by=jannadesuI expected more from their Onion Soup, sad to say I didn't like it but the Alcoholic Barbeque Wings are really good and its super spicy! You should try their Pan Fried Fish (Creamy Dory) with Buko Pandan Rice! The servers were really attentive and accommodating, I will definitely come back!

I go here for their spoken word events and drinks. I can't say much for the food yet, except that their purple nachos are now the only nachos I can eat not only cause it's purple, but bc it's also really delicious! Their drinks are what you normally would have somewhere else, not much to say. But worth it during happy hour at 50 PHP each! Ambiance is cozy and staff are accommodating.

Splice is the first in the series of restaurants by the Menu Group managed by restaurateur Harvard Uy de Baron alongside Sobremesa, Sangkap and Sasa. The cozy space in The Portal at Greenfield District has a capacity of 150 to 200 persons, making it ideal for events like company functions, PR launches, GeekFight! quiz nights and artistic performances like Spoken Word. It also has partner vendors for party needs like hosts and performers, and offers free rental for the lights and sound system.

"Change is the only constant thing in this world" - this popular saying is true enough. In the past I remember EDSA Central as a transportation hub and was quite a very congested and chaotic place as this was a major thoroughfare along EDSA and Shaw Boulevard. And then a few years ago it has undergone a major face-lift. It was transformed into a district with a vast network of mixed-use commercial and retail buildings, open spaces, pockets of greens and residential communities.

We basically came here for the piso wings haha but the cocktail happy hour promo wasn't too bad either (only 50 for screwdriver, rum coke, and vodka sprite from 5pm until 9pm).Anyway we liked the sriracha butter wings better than the alcoholic barbecue wings.. Or maybe I am not a big fan of barbecue really. My boyfriend liked the barbecue because he likes spicy food, but also prefers the sriracha butter wings. The serving size was a bit small too (yes... i don't think it's worth it priced at the original 280). It may even be too oily for some people. We ate it with the dirty rice (described to be a bit like fried rice, same price as plain and garlic rice), which was okay. The atmosphere was laidback and chill. They have nights with performers but there seems to be none performing on the Wednesday night that we were there. On another comment, my friend ate the lechon kawali sinigang which he liked and found delicious. Though he did comment on the piso wings as a marketing strategy because he said it can only be ordered once per table (so boo for big groups).
