Our go-to Jap place! Katsus are perfectly cooked. Servers always ask to refill the cabbage, rice, soup, and dessert for you. Hope they could just greet you personally.

We usually go to this place to celebrate our birthdays, etc. We love the food and overall ambiance. I would have given them a 5 if all the staff were attentive and accommodating. I once asked one of the waitresses to bring us forks for our dessert but she just ignored us. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our dinner and had a satisfying meal.

So last Week I was at tonyang plus. This week We were at sambokujin megamall for another get together with different set of friends. Busy ako Baket hahah. Anyway, I’ve been in west ave branch and the one along Edsa & this is my 1st time is sambo megamall. I like that they accept reservation, they even send sms message a day before to confirm. Food: wide variety of choices. I love that they offer kamameshi rice and bimbimbap! Good job in replenishing the food supply. Their tempura station never ran out of tempura. I love love the lechon belly!!! I also like that they offer fruit shake now. I also enjoyed the miso soup. Dessert station they have a lot of ice cream choices 😍😍😍 I got me some coffee and black sesame seed ice cream. They even have crepe and fondu station. I did not like the coffee jelly and blueberry cheesecake though. Ambience: place is okay. The grill for the yakinuku is in need of scrubbing. Place is too dim and cold. My food gets cold immediately because of the AC. I don’t know if it’s just because where we are seated. The CR need a little tidying I think. Staff: I like that their reception is much more organized compared to the other buffet resto I reviewed last week. The staff are all approachable and when you ask something it won’t take them 48yrs to provide. Like when I ordered the kamameshi rice. The Lady staff set my expectations that it’ll be 15-20 mins wait time & then 5 minutes later I have someone delivering my kamameshi rice. Happy me.🤓🤓Bill out is also easy breezy. I will definitely comeback. Maybe in another branch.

Kumuha ako ng tissue then wiped the bottom. These dishes are sitting on top of the other.. that's cross contamination. Your management needs to re inspect how the crew cleans the dishes because evidently, there is a lack of quality pagdating sa cleanliness.

The best buffet restaurant for me. Waiters are accommodating compared to other buffet restos. One of the things that impressed me is when I asked one of their waiters if they still have sashimi since the one displayed ran out. The waiter asked how many and then he served it to me at our table instead of making me pick it up at the food station. Amazing!

I liked the food, too many options to choose from. They also have high chairs which is perfect for kids, and they accept reservations for parties and personal events. It's just that coffee is not on the unlimited buffet menu. So, you pay almost a thousand pesos and you will need to make additional payments for a cup of coffee. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars, because to me, coffee is life and I can have unlimited coffee with other Japanese unli buffet restaurants.

I used to be a fan of Sambo Kojin megamall. Probably years since I last went, but I had this craving today. Went there 1045am, got seated past 11am. So here I am, excited... Guess what, for p/938 per head, the buffet was not worth it. As you can see from the poster, that was the expectation. The reality, their buffet area was slow at replenishing dishes. If they do get replenished, if 2-3 people went to it, it'll all ve gone, and you have to wait again. Doesn't make sense to have a buffet, but no food on it. The shabu-shabu area now has fewer choices. They don't have labels, so you have to guess what the meat is. They have shrimps, but you have to ask for it, no sign about it either. Sashimi was cut 1/4 the size of what you get nornally at a restaurant. Their saving grace is their sushi was still ok, the beef shabu-shabu was still good. Service was so-so as well. We had to follow-up on water. When i asked at the juice area where i can get glasses for the juice, the waiter responded "Ayan o". Slow clap. But some servers were ok, like theone who lit up our griller & during payment. Overall, Sambo Kojin is now on my "avoid" list.
