David and I don't really eat much at a Filipino restaurant every time we went out on a date for 2 reasons. First, we eat Filipino foods at home already and second, we always want to try something new. But this time, we decided to give it a shot before our free Star Wars movie block screening care of website.Chicharon Bulaklak- Heavy for appetizer but it's worth it! It was served hot so we totally enjoyed munching every bit of it.Crispy Tilapia w/ Tamarind Sauce- It's a fried Tilapia with a twist. The fish meat were cut into strips, deeply fried until crunchy and were placed back to it's body for presentation purposes. But it didn't end there, it was then drizzled with their unique tamarind sauce which made it stand out.Beef Steak Tagalog- What I love about beef steak was how the beef was marinated and how generous the onions were added. Fortunately, Recipe's Beef Steak Tagalog, won me over and had passed my criteria. I don't know how they did it but their Beef Steak Tagalog seemed so creamy and I like it.

Home-cooked Filipino dishes, without the carinderia atmosphere. I guess this was their basis of how each Filipino-Asian dish was meticulously prepared when they thought of Recipes Restaurant.Design concept of this restaurant is plain and simple. Very neat and clean looking. Price tab is very modest and serving size is good for sharing. All of these gives them an "A" rating from me.My personal favorites are:- Gising-gising- Lechon Kawali with Kangkong- General's Chicken- Crispy TilapiaService: 🌟🌟🌟🌟Value for Money: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We ordered the following: gising gising, thai spring rolls, chicken curry, general's chicken and pork binagoongan. Almost everything we had were good. Only thing is, serving is too small. I.e each dish is only good for one person thus we had to order more and it ended up being pricey.

Store appearance / ambiance needs improvement especially in the part where their AC unit leaks. All other aspects like staff, service, and of course food are good👍 their sotanghon soup is so big for it price. Definitely gives value for money. Other faves: pinalutong na tilapia, gisinggising, and the tofu dish

Quite a good option for Filipino fare at Shang Plaza. We had a very good General's Chicken. Boneless chicken chunks glazed in vinegar and hoisin sauce served with grilled eggplant. Chicken Sotanghon soup was just what was needed for a rainy day. A good sized portion for just Php 155! Tofu with garlic sauce was tasty too.Pandan with ice cream was an ok dessertWorth a 3.5 if I had the choice
