I am not a Ramen person but my balikbayan cousins were lured by the promo of Ramen Nagi Podium... P600 (plus service charge) for 2 bowls of Ramen. The promo must be really effective as there were still people waiting for a table at 830pm on a weeknight. My sister and I shared a Butao King. Since it was our first time here we decided to encircle Normal for most of the options except for the Noodles. We eat slowly so we figured we'd get hard noodles and they'd eventually become softer. Our order was good but not great enough to make us fall in love with Ramen. I love how my cousin's Butao King tasted different. She requested for less oil and more garlic. It made a significant difference.I wasn't brave enough to sample my cousin's Black King. The color turned me off. Both cousins enjoyed their Ramen orders. We also shared a Pork Katsu Roll. The cheese was the come on. We were quite disappointed at how it tasted. It left a weird after taste in my mouth. I didn't want to finish the dish. The place was full, most probably because of the promo. The servers were preoccupied but moved quickly. We had to follow up on some things though and the bill took a while.Overall, I was more impressed with the feel of the place, the look of the menu and the fact that you had to place your order by encircling items with an old school highlighter. *visited last August 2016

I asked my companion what Nagi meant, he said it means calm (at sea). Inside the Podium mall, in between UCC and Borough, this restaurant sits calmly (yes, I wanted to use it) as it waits for a wave of Ortigas denizens who are craving for a Ramen meal. For most of my Japanese friends they said that the taste comes really close to what they have in Japan. Ramen can be as low as 390 and could amp up to 410. Although my Japanese friends were surprised that they served the Nori in sheets and that they're not cut into tinier pieces. Also the staff accent sounds a bit off when they try to greet the guests. Overall, service and food was great. The photos show the Original King Butao, and my new favorite Ramen with parmesan cheese - Green King, Midori. 😊

A friend recommended this outlet since we both share the love for ramen. The staff is accomodating, the ambience is very good, the price is reasonable for such a delightful treat. And let's talk about the food. They have a variety of noodles from soft to hard. Variety of toppings, additional treats, broth flavors, richness of flavors. I ordered the normal levels of everything which is recommended for first timers. We got our order in pretty fair amount of waiting. We got a slurp. And yass heaven! Its really yummy! Its like slurping balut soup! Haha thankful for that friend who told me about ramen nagi. The meat is well done. The noodles is perfect for me. The broth is .. don't know how to express it but its really really good! I even recommended it to my coworkers and after they tried it they said it really was yummy. So now i share the same delight for ramen nagi with a few of my officemates. Haha! Come back? Of course definitely! Already craving now after making this review!

I enjoyed the Tsukemen dish a lot. It is a large bowl of ramen, quite substantial, so I suggest you come hungry, or with a "plus one" to share it with. We tossed the nagi fire sauce in the noodles, and made sure each noodle was well-coated. (Do not be fooled by that tiny blot of sauce; that nagi fire sauce packs a lot of heat!) I twirled a mouthful of spicy noodles on my fork, doused the heat with the bonito soup, popped it in my mouth, and followed it up quickly with a few strips of pork chashu. It has an uplifting and rather soothing medley of flavors, a blend of salty and umami with just a hint of heat. Article by: Richard Allan Co | TFC Photos by: Richard Allan Co | TFC Published by: EATer.PH

I'm not much of a fan of Japanese food.  In fact, if it wasn't for my Gorgeous wife, I would not even try it out.  The ramen this place serve is spectacular.  The soup base is so rich in flavor and aroma and i really like it that they serve it hot. Soup was meant to be savored slowly while it is still emitting that flavorful smoke. The hardness or softness of the noodles are customized to your liking.  The service was also excellent. Attentive and courteous waiters who knows what is on the menu.  The ambiance gave us that Japanese feel.  Absolutely SATISFYING!!!  The downside...Restroom could have used some better cleaning.

I was looking for food to eat on a sick day last week. Ordered the Green King bowl and wow, I got suprised. I was like, is this pesto on my ramen? I was never a fan of pesto, I can't believe I loved that bowl so much. Will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recoommended.

Availed the 2 Ramen Bowl for 600 promo.Place - quite nice and the ambiance is relaxing. Authentic Japanese feel. It's very nice to eat and chat w/ friends there. My only con was because of the promo, the place was crowded and kinda noisy.Ramen - Original Butao King is still good as always. Green King is quite oily and the noodle was overcooked as I picked the extra hard. I didn't quite feel that firmness in the noodle like the other noodles I ordered in other Ramenagi branches, it's soggy actually. And the belly meat has too much fat.Staff - they were accomodating. They informed us well when our order will arrive and it did arrive on time. Cheers to that!

Ramen Nagi reintroduces their summer ramens. • TSUKEMEN - Your favorite summer ramen served in a bowl of cold, thick noodles topped by Nagi firesauce and a separate dipping bowl of our signature silky tonkotsu broth with strips of chashu and onion leeks. • TONKATSUMEN - Perfect choice for summer served in a bowl of cold, thick noodles topped with flavorful tonkatsu and daikon sprouts with lemon wedge and mustard on the side served with a separate dipping bowl of fresh nagi spice and vegetables. Tsukemen and Tonkatsumen are served with noodles separate from their dippings, unlike the usual Butao ramen which is served hot and filled with our signature tonkotsu broth. I like the Tsukemen because of dipping broth which is a bit thicker and flavorful than the latter. But that's just me.

Was so lucky to be one of the first people to try their limited edition cold ramen this year! Thank you, Ms. Ync! For the month of April, they introduced two types of cold ramen - Tonkatsumen (top) and Tsukumen (bottom).Their tonkatsumen will immediately catch your eye because of the tonkatsu on top of the cold noodles but don’t be deceived. I suggest asking for another plate so that you can mix the noodles because there’s some sauce below it. The dipping sauce or “broth” for this reminded me of tacos because of the tomatoes and the cabbage slices but it tasted a bit similar to barbecue sauce. I found the tonkatsu a bit dry.Second is the tsukumen. Mix the spice on top of the noodles to give it a better mouthfeel and to add a hint of spiciness to it. Not a fan of super spicy food but this is good. Contrary to tonkatsumen, the meat (pork shoulder) of tsukumen is found in its sauce. The sauce is a bit salty and it washes out the spiciness of the noodles once you dipped it.Overall, I liked tsukumen better. But note that these dishes are not customizable. I think they have to maintain the firmness of the cold noodles.
