All this talk about how good the cakes are at Poetry & Prose has proven me true! I love how calming it is to eat here. I 'll definitely come back here to try on their full meal and other sandwiches. 😉😁

Their food selections are over-priced, and the cakes I was craving for were sadly unavailable. so I had to order Eclairs and Tarts which taste rich and creamy at first but when reached halfway, it tasted too sweet for me, I had to ask for another glass of water. And I was craving for hot choco (since it was raining that time and I really really want a rich, hot chocolate.) To my disappointment, it was unavailable too, but in fairness, the waiter was too polite and courteous and he could see the disappointment in my eyes and voice, he offered me their sister resto's Hot choco instead. He had to run to that neighboring resto to get me a hot choco, despite the rain, so I give this resto a 3. I also enjoyed the Parisian feel/ambiance in this patissiere, perfect for girly-girls.. (I'm not a girly-girl but I did appreciate the girly ambiance) lol

Although, I Loved the staff as they were very friendly and attentive. The pastries were quite disappointing. I had a slice of strawberry cake and it was sooo sweet it gave me a headache! The coffee was good though.

the food was great, and so the ambiance...but sad to say the reason we visited this place is to document it for our midterm requirement, and we asked one of their staff and he agreed, we gave him a questionnaire and promised to answer it, we waited for some time and then he approached us told us that he will just email the answers later, 2weeks have passed and still got no email from him,the deadline for our documentation is over, and we were so disappointed choosing this bakery

The interiors look are really beautiful but their pastry is the saddest pastry ever. The pastries that were served to us were really stale and sugar loaded. The waiter even told us that their pastry was made the day before and said that it's still good up to 3 days and didn't even seem to understand what was wrong with that.

There was a small cockroach in their iced coffee! The staff didn't even apologize and instead they just gave us a new glass of iced coffee. Their breads and macarons are bad too!

The restaurant caught my fiance's eye so we decided to try it, the place is quite and quaint, it lacks dining staff beacause there was only one person on the counter and she was the server at the same time. I gave it 4.5 beacause of the food, we ordered the classic eggs benedict and one of the new items, i think it was called pork de provence. When we tasted the food the flavors was spot on.. The hollandaise on the eggs benedict was perfect it was rich and it has the right amount of acidity. Then with pork de provence, the moment it was put down on table the aroma just goes through your nose i can figure out few of the herbs used on the dish but to combine those many herbs and to balance them out and prevent it to overpower the dish is quite difficult, i thank the chef who cooked our food, we had a small chat when he went out of the resto and he is very nice and very fluent in english. I forgot his name but he wore a black uniform. To the chef in black, keep it up and next time my fiance and i come back well be looking for you!

Lovely patisserie in Shangri-la mall. The cakes and pastries are great. We ordered slices of Tarte Tatin and Chocolate Eclair. Both were great with just the right sweetness. The moroccan chicken that we took out though was very dry. It had a nice flavor and paired well with the sautéed veggies (eggplant and cucumber) and couscous. But the chicken was too dry to appreciate the dish.

Very nice place but horrible food. Pastries are supposed to be their specialty because it's a patisserie, but this was definitely not the case.I tried the mille-feuille, expecting a light, fluffy puff pastry with just the right amount of cream. What they served was hard, crumbly, had a cracker-like texture, and NO TASTE AT ALL.  I couldn't even manage to finish the whole thing. Based on its texture and taste, it seemed like the cake was made weeks ago. Extremely disappointing. Not coming back.

I went on a Saturday here to get some coffee. I'll start with the positives. The service was good, staff were very polite and accommodating. I asked for a seat where I can charge my phone and was not disappointed. The ventilation of the area was good, too. The menu had coffee, pastries, and even savory food. I was told early on that their machine is broken that's why their macchiato and cappuccino were not available so I ordered cafe latte instead. I asked for the piece of what seems to be a round cake on the pastry display and was told that it's not on their menu. I got curious since it's a new piece and he said it was cheesecake. After waiting for a short while, the cake was served. It was okay, not very fancy and not very special for the price. It may be good but I think it was too sour-not my type. The coffee was served lukewarm. I was really disappointed because I expected it to be a hot, sweet, and mellow blend of latte. I received a cup of what seems to be a lukewarm cafe americano-it was bitter, and had no hint of milk at all. I asked for milk to add to my coffee. Good thing, the staff was nice enough to serve me a freshly heated small pitcher of milk. But honestly, it didn't salvage the taste of the coffee. The food, to be honest, were really photogenic I had to share it. Will I try it again? That I can't decide.
