I've always wanted to eat at Pho Hoa since one branch opened in Gateway, but it's only now that we got to try it (and not even in Gateway, but it Megamall). The place was not ventilated properly, as it was hotter inside than on the all itself. The only vacant table wasn't cleaned up after the previous customer, and we had to call the waiters' attention to clean it up. In all fairness, the resto is not really big.My bf and I ordered gui con, pho nam/gan/ve don, and grilled pork & fried spring rolls. One by one, after about 10mins, our orders arrived. But wait... They forgot to give us utensils! Food was served but no fork, spoon, nor chopsticks. We had to call the waiters' attention again so that they'll give us some. Good thing that their food was the saving grace from their lack of attention.Gui con was good! We loved the peanut sauce that came with it, although weirded out at first about the spring roll, as we're not used to having vermicelli as a filling. Wasn't able to taste my bf's food, but the pho was pretty good. Serving was right for the price, but I struggled to find the tendon in the soup (wished there was more). They got a big bottle of Sriracha ready for those who want to spice up their pho!

I frequent the Megamall and Gateway branches but I've been to Shangri-la, Old Balara and Paseo Center too. I just love the Pho. I always order #50 on Pho Hoa's menu. It's the Pho Nam, Chin, Gan, Bo Vien which translates to Pho - noodlesNam - beef flankChin - beef brisketGan - beef tendonBo Vien - beef meat ballsOh well, I just say #50.I want mine with Sriracha Chili Sauce and drizzle with a bit of hoisin. Oh my.. I'm salivating!!!

My dad tooke me here for one of our father-son talks. It was very memorable for me and one reason is because of the food. I ordered only one dish and that is their marinated prawns with grilled pork on rice. I guess this is their version of Surf and Turf? Anyway, it was a good combination of pork and seafood. Add to that their semi sweet vinegar and everything is just perfect.

When it comes to great Vietnamese cuisine, Pho Hoa is the best that I have tried. It was way back in college when I discovered this place. It was the branch in Jupiter Street where I would often have lunch while doing some research stuff at the DTI, which is just located across the restaurant. My favorites here are the chicken glazed rice and the beef noodle soup. The fried spring rolls and pomelo salad here are also great.

I tried ordering grilled pork with shrimp and was NOT disappointed. Plenty of serving on our plates, and to add, the vinegar or sauce thingy is really delicious. Definitely be back to try other dishes!
