The beef never fails to impress me. Whether it's thebbasic pepper lunch or of someone has the budget for it, The Giant! So far one of the most affordable steak house/ fastfood I know. The service is exceptional too. Maybe it's time they upgrade their menu and offer unlimited steak?

I still remember the very first time I heard about Pepper lunch. My cousin, Kuya Paolo, sent me a facebook message that lead to the video demo of how to eat the Pepper Beef. I kept asking myself how something so seemingly simple could have me so mesmerized. .         It was the simple things.. How the butter melted into the corn.. how the corn was gently mixed into the rice.. the soothing hiss of the meat on the sizzling plate, that really had me sold on the idea of Pepper Lunch, to the point that actually tasted it seemed more or less just semantics. But I was very much pleased that when I stood in that long line at Rockwell for my first taste, it surpassed my wildest expectations.

Pepper lunch is one of our go to places when we're feeling we just wanted to eat something good. It always doesn't disappoint. The legendary jumbo beef pepper lunch with cheese is our all time favorite here. This time though we felt adventurous and ordered another dish the gc rest omelette with curry Hamburg. It was good as well but the award still goes to the legend! :) to capped off we ordered the matcha ice cream and love it tooService is staff is commendable as well. Store is spacious and clean. I love this branch!

A sizzling plate dinner could never go wrong especially if you are a fan of Pepper Lunch. There ain't no line to this branch even on a Sunday night so it's a good go-to place for family dinners when everybody in the entourage wants different things. The meat component might be a bit too skimpy for me for most dishes so better get the Tokusen "Big" Rib-eye Steak (Php635) or go for The Giant (Php660). Really good amount of marbling of fat and tender. Just make sure you don't overcook it. Needs a bit more seasoning for me.The curry dishes might be a little bland if you are used to the other Japanese curry joints. Sprinkle some chili peppers if they have it on hand. For dessert, try the ice cream. It's a little bit less creamy than I would want it to be. But the Matcha (Green tea) is worth trying anyway.

Pepper Lunch. Rice and oil with a sprinkling of beef! I don't really get why people like this place. They say it's 'sulit', but not really. You're essentially paying for rice and very very very little beef. I had to order extra beef (photo below) to make the meal more satisfying. Value for money isn't good for me. That said, the food is actually pretty good. Make sure you don't add too much sauce or it'll become really salty. More pepper can be added as it enhances the dish greatly.  As for the place, it was warm and 'fast-foody'. Tables weren't the cleanest. They should also change suppliers for their paper cups because some of ours have holes in them.

Been coming back to pepper lunch since forever and I really like their food. It comes out hot (sometimes too hot that I have to wait for a couple of minutes before I can eat haha!) Their price has gone up but still worth every buck. If you're gonna try them, a piece of advice is to dine in cause their food taste best when eaten after it's served, or in my case, after it has cooled a bit :)

This is the very first Pepper Lunch branch I ever visited, and the name it was still spreading to people. The food here is really great. You'll get this sizzling plate with your food cooking in front of you, and you have to carefully stir it, so it doesn't burn.I was really familiar what I always have here, which was I think, it was the old menu. I always ordered before was Beef Teriyaki with Egg. This was my favourite. But when I ordered that again last year, the taste changed and it tastes like Beef Pepper Rice. So, I changed my order when I went there again, and tried Beef Yakiniku. And this was it. I don't know, maybe they changed it? Who knows. Was avid customer here, so I knew what happened.Anyway, the Ribeye Steak is also good. I just noticed that some of the menus in their Express branches are kinda different as well, or maybe I'm wrong.

I've been reluctant to try this place out as most Facebook uploaded photos from this place doesn't look like what they show on the menu outside the restaurant. One Saturday evening we give this place a shot. I ordered the Beef Pepper Rice and my bf ordered the Lamb Pepper Rice. Everything was relatively fine with the food, and yes it doesn't look quite as advertised outside in their menu.Servers were attentive and the place has a good lighting.

Best Pepper Lunch branch in Metro 😊What you see (in menu) is what you get. Food presentation was perfect. Very tasty food. Big serving. They offer menus which are not available to other branch, like the curry fries 😋. This is my favorite branch of Pepper Lunch
