It's disappointing that Papa John's service has become worse. As far as I know, when a guest arrived and seated at a restaurant, they are usually being given a glass of water prior to ordering or when they request for it, it should be given ASAP. Also, when drinks, apart from water, has been ordered, it should be delivered to the table ASAP. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Our water arrived together with our appetizer, which by the way was served 30 minutes after we were seated, despite the follow-ups. The iced tea we ordered, arrived after the pizza was delivered, 30 minutes (or almost) after the appetizer.Food was okay, the usual Papa John's, however, without the jalapeño with butter this time. I think they forgot that too. It's really the service that sucks (excuse my French).Apparently, we weren't the only ones pissed by the service. We overheard one take-out customer who also ordered pizza, complaining how slow the service is. He was promised that his pizza will be ready after 25 minutes. However, after already buying something from another store by the looks of it, his pizza still wasn't ready, and it took another 10-15 minutes for them to finally hand it over to the customer. We talked to the manager and mentioned our concerns. He apologized and said that they were indeed undermanned, even if it's a Tuesday, when they have a lot customers, because they overlooked the schedule of their staff.I don't know what's happening with this restaurant, really, because even their delivery service isn't as good as it was anymore. There needs to be an improvement to be done.(Deleted review from March 1. Thanks for fixing my profile, website!:) )

Definitely a good pizza place for me. The place is spacious enough. They were able to provide what I needed. Servers were very attentive. I would definitely come back.

Had late lunch here with the family, because of their latest promo of buy 1, take 1 pizza for around PHP500. Upon arrival, we were informed though that such promo was available only for take-out (which I don't understand why). Alternatively, we were offered another promo for dine-in, with the following inclusions: 14-inch pizza, 2 types pasta, a side dish of potato wedges and a pitcher of iced tea. All for PHP999. We chose two flavors for the pizza (Super Papa and Chicken Bacon Ranch), and two more for the pasta (Alfredo and Italian). Food was served quickly, which was a plus. I've always liked Papa John's pizza because it wasn't too oily, compared to its competitors (Pizza Hut or Shakey's). Also love the crust--slightly sweet and very chewy. Between the two pizza flavors, I liked Super Papa better. The pasta options were unfortunately bland.Another opportunity area--I asked if the PHP999 was the nett amount, but when our bill arrived, I was surprised that service charge was added on top of said amount. At least the service was satisfactory.Separately: It's been years since I've been to Megamall, and I can't believe how much it has changed 😳 This mall is humongous! I don't think I'd be able to pass by each store even if I had the whole day 😱

Thanks to delivery giant, Food Panda, I finally got to enjoy good and fresh pizza at world renowned chain, Papa John's. I've been to almost all restaurants in Megamall, missing this one primarily because I always dine solo. How can one have all the round pizza, right? Tonight we had a feast fit for Italian food lovers. We got a range of not just their best selling pizzas but also pastas. This is a classic pair that goes hand in hand and Papa John's makes both appetizing for you and me. Together with other foodies, we got to try All Meat Pizza, a personal favorite for its balance of cheese and variety of tasty meats. Its dough was light and easy to munch on as well. We also had Cheese Trio, a version curated just here in the Philippines. It was a simple recipe yet satisfying. Of course, Super Papa was served too, a pizza with everything in it. For Pasta, a unique piece caught my attention, they call it Creamy Crab Meat. It's Kani rich dish with carbonara sauce accompanying it wonderfully. It also has a kick of spice, thanks to chili flakes and fresh garlic. We also got to love their version of Wings. It is well seasoned on its own even if it came with three sauces like staple barbecue. Another must try, an appetizer would be their Pepperoncini Dynamite. It is a giant pepper with oozing cheese inside and wrapped in bacon. It's not as hot, more of a bite with all three tastes battling in your palate all at once. It is salty, sour and spicy!

This isn't some fancy pizza joint out there but I'd say that you get more than what you pay for ! Special shout out to their pepperoncini dynamite ! Our family love them so much I wasn't able to take a pic :( (Well, I wasn't able to take pics religiously anyway) We ordered 2 large pizzas, 2 four-piece flavored wings, 2 dynamites, and 1 shared pasta for less than 2k. There was a running promo that time so we were able to get two solo pastas and 2 sides free. We went home satisfied and still had some left over to take home :)

Continuing my reviews backlog... #latepostMonths ago I was invited to a double "rendezvoos" (a play on the word rendezvous) hosted by another search-and-discovery app Looloo. First we trooped to Papa John's Pizza (and then we went to Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake, which I also did a review here). It was my first time at Papa John's Pizza and certainly, I was quite excited to try their every offering.Appetizers/Sides: 🔹Seasoned Potato Wedges (₱120)  - potato wedges drizzled with garlic ranch sauce, cheese sauce, pepper and bacon. As a big potato, cheese, garlic, pepper (I like anything spicy and pungent) and bacon lover, I thought this dish was meant for me lol.🔹Herbed Parmesan Breadsticks (₱120) - at first bite, I was instantly thrown off at how salty it was. Maybe it was just my palate.Pasta: 🔹Creamy Crab Meat (Single, ₱99; Platter, ₱297) - I didn't (and could not) eat this! Crab sticks all over the pasta.. looked delish! Huhuhu I miss crab :(🔹Mediterranean Seafood Linguini (Single, ₱99)  - Maybe to make up for not having been able to try the Creamy Crab Meat, I tried the Mediterranean Seafood Linguini (while murmuring a prayer hehehe). But I tried only the pasta (just a tiny bit), and not the seafood. It was good! The fresh tomato taste was just lovely.🔹Spinach Alfredo (Single, ₱99)- The only pasta I could gladly try. It was delicious! At first I thought the greens were basil leaves, but they were spinach -- pwede pala! Masarap! The flavor was comparatively mild, so it was a nice foil to the other intensely-flavored things that I ate.Pizzas: 🔹Super Papa - pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, mushrooms, onions, green peppers and black olives. It was just OK! As the usual thing I do with pizzas, I put some hot sauce in it.🔹Chicken Cheesy Pizza - This is one of Papa John's newest pizza flavors and we were glad to be among the first to try it. Oh geez I loved this pizza... as I was slicing the pizza (or poking the fork into it), the cheese sauce oozed out of it... lovely sight! Plus I've never had a chicken pizza before (it's always beef, bacon or pepperoni). This was different and so good. Cheesy in every bite! 'twas the one I'd definitely order on my next visit.🔹Tuna Pesto - Another one of Papa John's newest flavors. It consisted of tuna, bay leaves, tomatoes, chili and spices. I may have eaten a tuna pasta, but not a tuna pizza yet. So I was glad I had the chance to try a tuna pizza at Papa John's. Nice kick from the spices and chili! I thought it would be available till Holy Week, since this is technically a meatless pizza. But I hope they'd make it a regular on their menu eventually hahaha. This was good. They also had the Tuna Pesto but with the crust stuffed with mozzarella. But what a shame, I didn't get to try it (maybe because I had to make a little space in my tummy for Uncle Tetsu's later).♥ Mi Amore Stromboli FYI, "stromboli" is a rolled-up pastry usually filled with mozzarella, meats, tomato sauce and veggies. But the stromboli can be filled with nontraditional ingredients as well. Though of course a stromboli is not obviously a pizza, it otherwise uses a pizza dough.Papa John's rolled out its limited-only "Mi Amore Stromboli" in time for the coming Valentine's day at the time.... It featured heart-shaped strombolis, served with a strawberry dip. The strombolis can be ordered as "Ala Carte" (₱214) or as part of their "Meal for 2" promo (₱299 and ₱369, which also includes a pasta meal and drinks). One of the heart-shaped strombolis served to us was split into two different flavors.Mi Amore Stromboli's that we tried: 🔹Savory - (meat-filled stromboli) 🔹Cheesy Pesto - (this was good!) 🔹Pineapple Caramel - (good sweet ending to our meal)What I liked the most (and would order on my next visit): ✅Seasoned Potato Wedges ✅Spinach Alfredo ✅Chicken Cheesy Pizza ✅Tuna Pesto Pizza ✅Cheesy Pesto StromboliThank you to the marketing executives Riza and Layton, and graphic artist Ryan, for the warm accommodation and providing us some infos about the restaurant. It also introduced me to some new pizza flavors. :)

Service was okay, along with ambiance. What destroys everything would be the food. Pizza was bland and stale, with the dough very chewy and as if it were sitting for hours under room temp (which might be possible!). Should've ordered Pizza Hut instead. Def not coming back. They were great last year from what I remember, but their pizzas have really started to go downhill since I last visited. Could only stomach one slice!

Papa John's Pizza is a testament to the hard work and dedication of its founder, John Schnatter. In his younger days, he worked his way from a humble dishwasher up to the pizza maker of a restaurant. In due time, he sold his car in order to open up the first Papa John's pizza joint in his hometown. His business has become so successful that the company has grown to 4,700 outlets worldwide under the umbrella of numerous franchisees.Just last week, I was invited by Ms. Rizcelle of Berjaya Philippines Inc. to the Blogger's Night of Papa John's Restaurant at SM Megamall. According to her, Papa John's pizza boasts of a delightful array of flavors and fresh ingredients that is sure to whet the appetite of hungry diners. I wanted to try out this guarantee by tasting their dishes for myself. Our food tour started with a taste of their appetizers. The Pepperocini Dynamite (Php 95) was composed of 6 sticks of pepperocini wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese sauce. It had a slightly salty and moderately tangy and spicy flavor fit for those who love their appetizers hot. Add to this their Ultimate Potato Wedges (Php 145), a sweet and peppery mix of fried potato wedges dressed with cheese, garlic mayo, bacon and lettuce, and you have a killer combo that's sure to whet one's appetite to the maximum. We were also given a taste of their experimental dish, the Spinach Cheese Stromboli, a baked pastry composed of cheese and spinach wrapped in a soft, chewy bread that kids and adults will surely love.We then tried their specialty pastas, namely the Cheesy Mushroom (Php 99 for single/Php 200 for large), the Creamy Crab Meat (Php 99 for single/Php 200 for large) and the Spinach Alfredo (Php 99 for single/Php 200 for large). These three variants were complete with tasty sauces, generous servings, and fresh ingredients. The Cheesy Mushroom pasta had this thick cheese sauce and tasty mushrooms that made me, a cheese and mushroom lover, proud. The Creamy crab meat, I must admit is more suited for seafood lovers; while the Spinach alfredo is for those who want their pasta at a much simpler texture and quality. The latter had bits of spinach garnished with basil leaves. The meal wasn't complete without their American style crispy fried chicken. at Php 390 for 3 pieces, Php 559 for 5 pieces, and Php 670 for 7 pieces, this generously served dish had huge pieces of golden brown chicken fried to a crisp. The taste reminded me of home style chicken that my mom used to serve me. However, this version boasted of thick and tangy gravy and a golden brown breading that left me wanting more. While I must admit that it's a tad pricey, I'd say that the price is still worth the experience. The highlight of the night was the pizza flavors we were offered. I had three variants: the Super Papa, Chicken Bacon Ranch, and the classic Pepperoni. These are served in 9 inch (Php 350), 12 inch (Php 485) and 14 inch (Php 595) sizes. These premium flavors are usually drizzled with a generous helping of meat, particularly bacon, mozzarella cheese, and a chewy crust. The Super Papa is considered as their premier and flagship pizza flavor due to the generous helping of meat and vegetables. I particularly liked this variant because it had a wonderful balance of flavors. The Pepperoni, despite its oily and greasy state, was still an excellent representation of the classic flavor. The pepperoni slices were huge. Add to that a thick helping of cheese; and you'll really have the time of your life with the pizza. The Chicken Bacon Ranch reminded me of a chicken sandwich due to the ranch flavoring on top. While less stellar than the other two flavors; I'd recommend it for kids or adults who want their pizza conservative in terms of taste.Lastly, the meal wasn't complete without a helping of their dessert, the Pineapple Cinnamon Rolls. While being at its experimental stage, I'd say that It may be a hit among diners. This delectably sweet rolls are good for those who love an explosion of flavors when it comes to dessert. It has 7 pieces and is truly delightful to devour.Papa John's truly is generous when it comes to their events. Furthermore, their food does live up to the hype and adoration from its patrons and fans alike.

Herbed Parmesan Bread Sticks for 120PhpMy favorite of all that night! It wasn't really about the bread, though they were warm and soft, but the butter that the bread sticks were drenched with. Melted butter with garlic and herbs, man it was so delicious! I can imagine smothering that cholesterol loaded stuff into anything at all and it will make anything delicious!

My all-time favorite pizza is YC but Papa John's pizza's still worth trying. Quality ingredients. The seafood pasta is fine. Creamy and sour with a li'l bit of sweet taste on it. Soup is crap. Knorr mushroom soup is way better which means KFC mushroom soup will slap this soup on the face. 😂✌️😂
