I'm not the biggest fan of Chinese food but I enjoy the food here at Luk Foo Shaw. Everything we've tried so far has been well prepared, delicious and the service here is pleasant and really quick.Even with 25% of the blood running through my veins being of Chinese origin I know so little of Chinese food. But yet, thanks to the girlfriend, I've been getting up to speed. She loves Siomai, Hakaw, Xiao Long Bao, all which were unknowns to me before I arrived in the Philippines. Yeah, I know. I've been missing out on half my life. After being crash coursed by the girlfriend over the past year or so, I can safely say Luk Foo has some of the best Hakaw around. It's always fresh, delicious and plump with shrimp. Not just bits, I'm talking almost half shrimp chunks inside that you can clearly see and taste. Some items I definitely recommend: Steamed Pork Siomai, Steamed Garlic Fish Fillet w/Eggplant, Beef Brisket & Wonton Noodle Soup.Quick and efficient service. Even at times when we've ordered countless dishes, they always seem to come out at a rapid rate. Definitely worth a try if you're in the mood for Chinese food.

I recently had my birthday dinner there April 2016. The yang Chow fried rice, sweet and sour pork and pepper spare ribs were flavorful and expertly made. The seaweed on the combination platter was my favorite as most Chinese restaurants forget how to properly prepare this dish. The large portions also mean that you are getting more than enough for everybody. We had so much take home leftovers. Everybody knows the best day old leftovers are Chinese food leftovers. They were also kind when we were noisy and still there near their 10 pm closing time.

Service is excellent. Food is great. Servings are satisfying. Must try: salt & pepper spareribs, hot prawn salad, pineapple rice, taro puff, fried chicken, noodle dishes. After don grocery it is rewarding to eat and relax here.

Excellent staff! The place was clean. Portions were great. My mom's current go-to place for Chinese food. This branch is waaaay ahead of it's other branch in Puregold- Sta. Mesa.

Excellent Chinese food. Salt & Pepper Spareribs are definitely a must-try. Crunchy, salty, flavorful. Very tender and well-seasoned. Really amazed at how they can elevate such a typical dish (fried spareribs) and make it this good. No other restaurant makes it like they do. Their dimsum is also very good. Try the Dimsum Combination Platter to sample their dimsum selection. Usually have food for take-out so I can't rate the service in-store, but staff are pleasant and accommodating when we order take-out.

Great food! Ordered the Beef Ho Fan (my personal fave) and Dimsum Platter (both good for 2-4 pax). Great value for money. Will definitely come back!

The Peking Duck is one of the best I’ve had in Manila. It really tastes like the ones you find in Hong Kong. The crab in glutinous rice is a must!

Servings are generous, service is impeccable although our group were the only customers at that time. Food could use more salt, but I think they lessened their salt because they were mostly catering to the eldeely.Must order: lechon kawali (super crispy), salted fish rice and salt and pepper squid.Parking is plenty as the resto sits on s&r compound.

Luk Foo is an affordable Cantonese place. They serve house tea and the place is spacious. Serving sizes of the food are already good for sharing.Yang Chow - delicious and a must order. Serving is good for 2-3 hungry persons.Salt and Pepper Squid - not what I had in mind, properly cooked squid, not rubbery but a little less in serving size.Salt and Pepper Tofu - this is the bomb! Although the same price as the squid, and just a little more in serving size, the taste is very delicious. (not in the menu)Beef Brocolli - order something else, taste bland, not your typical taste, fresh brocolli. Seafood Canton - smaller than expected but delicious. Hakao - firm, plump shrimp. Strawberry Spareribs - the sauce really does taste like sweetened strawberry. Butchie - delicious! I loved the toasted sesame seeds and also, it's not very sweet. Overall, Luk Foo is a must visit place for your Cantonese cravings.
