Service was good. The drinks were okay. But the breads, it was difficult to chew. I had it heated but man, i had a hard time chewing it even after slicing a small bite. I won’t be back. Not for the breads anyway.

I go here when I want a breather from the crazy, packed mall. It’s a good place to hangout with friends. Their iced coffee drinks are good but a bit too sweet so I always ask to just to omit it. I’m hoping the service isn’t deteriorating. But, the last time I came and ordered cake, I was given just a sliver of a slice.

I had after-meal coffee at Starbucks with some high school classmates (with whom I had a buffet lunch earlier) before meeting my BFF at nearby Lucca in Fashion Mall. In short, I was unbelievably full. I wasn't really planning to eat again but wasn't strong enough to resist the call of Chicken Noodle Soup (P160) whispering my name as I scanned the menu.Lucca has that "rustic" feel. Actually, it gave me that feel of a small, country bakeshop. Plus it has the distinct smell that gives a picture of bread baking inside an oven. So, that's why I ordered for the Chicken Noodle Soup (which was not bad at all!). My BFF ordered the Bread Pudding (P85). We both love puddings (we adore the bread pudding at Figaro) and Lucca's was almost as memorable. Not quite but almost. We didn't like the slightly crispy texture but hey, a pudding is a pudding. The Passion Berry? I didn't finish it. It tasted like it was from a Minute Maid mix with a half a cup of white sugar (Sunquick is so much better!). The service? Actually, I don't remember. Maybe the servers gave a lackluster performance of their duties that I didn't even bother to notice. I don't know. Am I going back? Maybe. Maybe not.The truth? Lucca is just a mediocre store with average servers and sadly, so-so food. The effort is there but Lucca must go double-time in making their business interesting. Try triple-time? Sayang eh.

My friends and I went here for dessert. We ordered their 3 bestseller cakes: 5 Layer Chocolate Cake, Macadamia Sansrival and Chocolate Cheesecake. The most disappointing one is the sansrival, which should have a chewy meringue but instead the texture is grainy and too sweet for the liking. While the other 2 are okay but their chocolate cake is a bit dry and the cheesecake's sweetness is overwhelming after 4-5 bites. Sadly, it's not worth its price.

I love the spot because it's not crowded and away from mainstream coffee shop/bakery. Red velvet is a bit dry inside. Cappucino is one good cup id say.
