L&L Hawaiian BBq comes to the philippines and opened its first branch at Shangri-la mall. Upon entering, we were greeted by the staff. The interior will give you the surfer beach vibe and it's very refreshing to see. We ordered BBQ Chicken, Chicken Katsu, Loco Moco, and Seafood comboLoved how they marinate the chicken and it's juicy. The chicken katsu also suprisingly taste good. I have reservations with Loco moco because it has a similar taste with the burger steak of a popular fast food chain here in the philippines. I also loved their macaroni salad (it's creamy)Overall, we enjoyed dining in this hawaiaan theme restaurant. The food was serve to us fast and the crew were also good to us.

Wow this place is unexpectedly good! I enjoyed the chicken bbq immensely! The rice (although shaped like a woman's chest, hee hee) was freshly cooked and soft. The only thing I didn't like was the macaroni salad. It was tasteless. The burger steak (loco moco) is also delicious. Not as good as Hawaii but good enough. The seafood platter is generous and satisfying! Will be back!! New favorite place!!

We've seen this resto one time while we were in Shang, and we've noticed it immediately because it is situated in the place where trattoria used to be. So anyway, the place really looked so inviting and really gives out a cool hawaiian vibe! The food was great, And pretty affordable too. They also have a cute menu written on a mini surfboard. It was definitely worth the try! I ordered the garlic shrimp, but I was also able to try the Humburger Steak and the Garlic fish, and all of them were so good!!!

We had our dinner here with my daughter. The resto ambiance will give you a feel of Hawaii. There are surf pics etc. Even their menu looks like fish. A little bit disappointed with my order mix seafoods which according to the lady at the cashier is their best seller. The pork hawaiian BBQ that comes with the plate is undercooked. The scoop of rice is very pricey and tge serving is just a scoop of ice cream. My daughter is very satisfied with her food Chicken Katsu. Since it is not a crowded place you can have ample time to stay.

Beach food shack vibe with distinctly Hawaiian twist. So thats bbq inspired dishes and then some...if you've ever craved for a Spam sushi wrap then this your spot...try the Smoked Kalua Pork for a tangy pulled pork plate that is as comforting as it is delicious. Pretty filling and good value. Prepare to spend 250 per person.

I love the Smoked Kalua Pork! Its rich flavor is perfectly balanced by the macaroni salad side. The ambiance is enhanced by the good background music. Worth going back to. 👍

We had our lunch at this Hawaiian-themed resto. We were in a hurry back then and were assured that our plates will be delivered in 10 minutes, which they sure did. L&L's best-selling Seafood Combo was good. The fish fillet tasted plain, though. Their Smoked Kalua Pork was surprisingly onolicious -- a must try, really. Will definitely go back here to try other dishes. 😊

Anytime a beloved U.S. restaurant/shop brings itself over to the Philippines there's always a bit of excitement yet caution inside of me. But seeing L&L Hawaiian BBQ come to the Metro made me flip since this was one of my go-to lunch places during my college days back in the U.S.. Sadly, my excitement quickly changed to disappointment when we received our orders.I got my favorite, the chicken katsu plate, an order of Spam musubi and the gf ordered the seafood combo plate. The musubi was served first and we both looked a bit confused since the slice of Spam was so thin. I kid you not (look at my photos) the ratio was about 95% rice to 5% Spam. Also, when we tried taking a bite, the thing just fell apart and we ended up having to eat it with a fork and spoon. SMH.Next up, the katsu and seafood plates came and they were also disappointing. From the many times I ate at L&L in the past, I always remembered being served huge portions of freshly cooked and delicious food. We got none of the above in both of our plates. The katsu plate I got looked like shriveled up niblets of dry chicken, two teeny scoops of rice, an even teenier scoop of macaroni salad and some weird tasting sauce (I assume it was their take on katsu sauce) that accompanied it. The gf got her similar plate with BBQ chicken, fried shrimp and fish. And to be quite honest, none of it was very appetizing. Shrimp and fish both were very greasy and didn't really taste like anything. The BBQ chicken, one of their claim to fame items, wasn't anything special and had an off sweet taste to it.Like I mentioned earlier, there's always a sense of excitement yet caution in me whenever a favorite U.S. franchise of mine makes the jump over to the Metro. In this case, it's sad that the L&L Hawaiian BBQ we have here in Manila taints the great experiences I had eating at their branches back in the U.S. with this very poor showing.

Tastes like the Hawaiian BBQ meals served in the US.The Php200-plus price point is enough to put some pain on the wallet.Maybe veggies can be an alternative instead of the two scoops of rice.

You'd think that the restaurants at the Shangri-la Mall are more upscale and much better than what you'd find at an SM or Robinsons mall. Not necessarily true. The food we were served at L&L Hawaiian BBQ was so bland (ever heard of salt, folks?), and may have been sitting at the counter for some time before it reached our table. The waitstaff was inattentive, and service was slow. Never coming back.
