For many years I’ve seen Kipp’s Chicken and always skipped on them. They only offer two products and the overall establishment just looks unexciting. I finally did tonight since my curiosity got ahead of me. So I got to try their Fried Chicken and the Burger Steak. The chicken was too ordinary, it’s like what an amateur would prepare at home. It’s accompanying gravy was watered down and bland. The other offering was even worse. After a bite of their deep fried burger steak, I set it aside and didn’t bother having another serving again. It was like eating carton. And who deep fries a beef anyway?

Skin was crispy. Seems like they double fry the chicken. The rice was a little bit overcooked IMO. Gravy was salty. I’d say chicken was ok but I would have been happier had I gone for Chicken Joy. I’d say taste is roughly same as Tom Sawyer’s. the latter will be the better tasting among the two.

Kipp's Chicken has always been my favorite place to eat ever since I was a kid. This establishment is highly underrated. I used to eat at the Foodcourt branch in SM North.

Ate at the foodcourt because I've been hearing how Kipp's has some good chicken. My girls just wanted spaghetti. I ordered a 1 pc chicken meal with the salad. Chicken was flavorful even without the gravy. Also liked the macaroni salad. Tasted quite good. The spaghetti was also okay, just that it tasted like an "ulam". Overall I enjoyed it. #masarap

I used to see this in SM North Food Court when I was young but I never got the chance to try it. Years later, I finally got to try it. It was just okay - nothing special about it and it looks so plain. Good thing is it's affordable but it's not something you'll crave for.

This has been a childhood favorite. Too bad, they only have two remaining branches and the nearest would be the one at SM Megamall. I love Kipps chicken for its simple homecooked taste. And the macaroni salad that comes with it also tastes just as good. Best of all, they come in delicious gravy too and they are very affordable too. They remain to be a favorite which I had passed on to my nephew who’s also fond of eating at Kipps. He will turn down Jollibee anytime when offered Kipps. And he’s now 17 years old but I had introduced him Kipps at 5 years old. And he still love Kipps even up to this day.

Best chicken ever! Would choose these over jollibee, mcdo and kfc. Sana magka delivery na sa qc. First time to try after I first saw it 20 years ago.

Saw this in MasarapBa’s Instagram and the account said na super saral, been curious ever since. Finally, the other day, while in Megamall, I remembered to pass by the food court.No line.Quick service.Pleasant staff.Bought a Barkada Meal for ₱489 for take out (ate at home) which included:6 pcs Fried Chicken (assorted: 2 thigh, 3 breast, 1 leg), can’t choose parts according to the staff3 drinks (your choice)3 Spanish rice3 macaroni salad4 gravyVerdict? Masarap nga! Crunchy skin, juicy meat, thick gravy and good rice (not sure if it tastes like “Spanish rice” but was just happy it wasn’t dry nor undercooked, it’s just right).The only thing I didn’t like at all was the Macaroni Salad. We had to force ourselves to at least eat some so it wouldn’t totally go to waste although we couldn’t finish it and 1 full container was left untouched. Next time, we’re skipping the macaroni salad.If I’m not mistaken, they are cheaper than Jollibee/ Mcdo/ KFC. If this is correct, then this could be their edge. But they only have 2 branches - in SM Megamall and SM Southmall foodcourts.

Kipps Chicken is one of those that I miss having at SM North EDSA Foodcourt. When I was still a student, I would always go and eat here. My usual order is their Chicken with Spanish rice.I am so happy that they are already back and the taste stays the same. This chicken is better than Popeye's and juicier than Chickenjoy.

Was finally able to try Kipps when I visited Megamall recently. I was so happy there was no queu and service was quick. My solo meal came with a macaroni salad, fried chicken, “Spanish” rice and a regular drink for only P105.I was excited to try it because I’ve heard a lot of good reviews online.😊The macaroni salad was just okay. It reminded me of the fiesta food leftovers that I used to eat when I was young. Very plain with a hint of sweetness. The rice was soft and cooked well, but I wouldn’t really call the rice “Spanish” because there wasn’t any hint of Spanish anything in there. Just yellow colored rice. I guess it would be better if they could add a dash of pepper to make it a bit spiced?The chicken was good! They even gave me my favorite thigh part! Skin was crispy and the meat was tender and tasteful. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as hot as I was expecting it to be. Maybe I should’ve requested them to refry it.All in all, it was still worth a try.😊
