Was a little disappointed when I tasted my order, the chicken fillet sauteed with salt and pepper was bland and listless, a far cry from the taste of the first time Ive tasted their chicken at bluebay walk. I guess quality really diminishes when establishments expand.

Let's start with the positive. The chicken is awesomely tender, I love their chili pepper flavour it really packs that peppery taste to it. Price? Right in the middle. Now for the negative. The waiting time for your food... Is ridiculously beyond words. Took me 25 minutes to get my order, cooking chicken that thin takes 25 minutes? Seriously? If McDonalds, Jollibee, KFC can make it at 3 minutes, why cant you guys? Tip: use a freaking food warmer.

I asked my wife to try this very large fried chicken fillet I saw from one of the customer when we went to eat at SM Megamall. So we tried their Superstar Fried chicken that comes with Rice for 165 large plus a regular drinks for additional 35 pesos. The fried chicken is good and large, meat is tender and moist on the inside. You can still see juices when you cut the chicken. But crispy on the outside. The gravy is not bad. Rice serving is a bit small. It's a bit pricey for me to spend on food court. But I liked the fried chicken. Ambience is not bad since it's on the food court so you'll never run out of seats. Overall still a good experience. We'll come back to try other flavors of their chicken!

Bigger than I expected.Been wanting to try this for the longest time.Got the original large chicken with barbeque sauce as per the cashier's recommendation (coz the superstar is not available) and I swear the chicken was bigger than my hand, dwarfed the rice and the gravy. Not a fillet at all, it was like the breast part of the chicken was just flattened, bones and all.Did not touch the gravy since it kinda neutralized the barbeque flavor of the sauce (and I love gravy)Blue lemonade was good and the fries were great.Reasonable price too.Thumbs up for Hot Star, Taiwan.

Very good! Relatively cheap for something new and filling. Red hot is not really THAT spicy, if you’re a lover of all things hot. Size and flavor is worth it!

My review for this food establishment is a 3.5 for me because the food is great, the chicken is freshly cooked hot and juicy and the gravy is in of course, small serving. Me and my friends suggests that they should add a boneless chicken in their menu with the same portion for the guests who does not want to bone their chicken; it can also be an added profit for Hot Star. All in all the service product is great and service setting because it is in the foodcourt. But I only advise the staff to remember that their attitude and personality towards the guests is still important. Staffs looked like in a bad mood, frowning and it’s not welcoming for the customers and it might be a problem instead of attracting more customers; try to improve more the service staffing, it can be helpful.

I got to see Hot Star Large Fried Chicken in Hong Kong. So it's nice to see that it has some branches here in Manila. They have several sizes to choose from. Of course we got the XXL. It didn't disappoint us. Big portion (it does have the bone still attached), crunchy breading and nicely seasoned. The rice was also of better quality compared to the one I got from Baliwag Lechon. The gravy was also particularly good.Best eaten freshly cooked! The one I had in Taipei was a lot better.

Always a pleasure to eat here. The servings are, of course, very large and very much to my liking. The accompanying rice might not be proportional to the size of your chicken though so best to add an extra order. The fish and chips aren't too bad either. For those looking to fast during the Lenten season, this could serve you well.

Very tasty especially the chilli pepper flavored chicken. Reminds me of my taiwan travel last March. Rice served was not enough for the size of the chicken. Will definitely go back to try other flavors.
