I'll give it a 4. There's something different about the Chicken. The breading is different from the ones I tried in Taipei and Singapore. Anyway, I love the fact that they integrated some Filipino food in the menu.

Good: huge serving... Largest chicken in the metro. Bad: Nakakasawa with all the oil in the breading and "umay" factor

What stands out here is the huge serving size of flattened chicken. I think one order can be good enough for 2 people who are light eaters. However, you cannot get the juicy kind but I think the taste is acceptable. I had an 'umay' feeling after eating eating some. When that happens, order their light-tasting soft serve which is very cheap.

Awesomeness!! Fall in love with the large fried chicken.. 100% goodness. Well-cooked inside and crispy outside. Worth it! Can't even finish thing in one sitting! 😝 unlimited gravy and don't forget that blue lemonade! Money worth spent indeed.. ♡

My friend recommended to have our lunch here. When she said they serve huge chicken portions, I thought to myself "If it isn't as big as my face it isn't big for me". And I kid you not, when we got our order it was as big as my face! (Well it reached my forehead and chin) So we ordered two Bbq Large Chicken and one Crispy Large Chicken all with rice and drinks. Very affordable price, we paid less than 500. Sad thing was, the rice was barely enough! It was probably only 1/4 of a cup. You would really need to buy about 3 extra rice if you can't resist eating without rice. Bbq flavor was okay, but the Crispy Large Chicken had no flavor (according to my friend). That's why im only giving this resto a 3.5 rating.

I'm so amaze that the chicken is big and bigger but the rice is small.. I like the taste of bbq chicken with spicy herb on top while the original chicken is for my boyfriend, I don't like the taste of the original it tastes like awful seriously. The drinks is fine and refreshing. I will surely recommended this to my friend. Btw we ate hot star at Robinsons Galleria (foodcourt)

I first saw Hot Star at the food court at Robinsons Galleria next to Pepper Lunch. One day while driving through Shaw Boulevard, I saw another branch of Hot Star and I just had to try it! A friend of mine recommended the place, the chicken was huge and worth the price.Last Thursday I was able to go to this place with my mom and younger brother for dinner. My mom got the crispy large fried fish, my brother got the original large fried chicken, and I ordered the BBQ large fried chicken. I was in love with the chicken, it was more than I could eat! The spice from the BBQ was tangy, just how I like it. And the chicken wasn't thin, it was thick and really tender. Loved the fact that they served blue lemonade! ?The only flaws are the amount of rice they served and the temperature of the place. For me it was way too cold and the rice looked like it was about half a cup.Overall, I loves the food and I plan to eat here again soon. I'll probably bring my friends with me next time!

Since I love eating chicken, I decided to give this restaurant a shot. I have no issues regarding the size or serving of the chicken. It was undoubtedly enormous! ? However, the flavor and taste wasn't so good. #AngTabang

We got surprised by how big the chicken was but got disappointed with the small rice serving... I suggest unlimited rice to match their fried chicken to make it better.

I’ve been wanting to try Hot Star Large Fried Chicken for a while and I’m so glad they finally opened a branch in Shaw Blvd. The first few times I saw the restaurant’s sign, I thought they were closed because the “gate” was down, so I passed it by. After googling, I found out the the place was actually already open! The closed gate is quite misleading. The entrance is actually inside the mall.
